Dr. Robert was born in the Midwest, but was raised in Honolulu and graduated from McKinley High School. He grew up in a chiropractic family- his father and his uncle have been chiropractors for over 40 years and his brother is also a chiropractor. As I drive through "The Rail" construction, it's massiveness blocks everything....especially the Walen building which my chiropractor office resides. People use that building as directional point in giving locational instructions of other places nearby or airports area.

I've visited Dr. Robert a few times and each time I leave I feel back to 100% and I learn a bit more about my aches and pains and how best to minimize or prevent them in the future. His advice is so great that I have not needed to go back in a while to see him for repeat treatment, how many chiropractors can you say that about. I took my wife to Dr. Robert after she started experiencing bad sciatic pain. She couldn't sit for long without feeling in agony. Fortunately I was aware of Ohana Chiropractic through friends who had gotten excellent care and, more importantly, relief from them. Dr. Robert was gentle in his adjustments, took the time to explain things to us and gave us takeaways we could use at home if/when the pain flared up again. My wife walked out feeling a definite, marked reduction in her pain and could move much better than before, the first relief she'd had in days. Much Mahalo to Ohana and Dr. Robert!

Amazing chiropractor. He went above and beyond my original request to see him and I was able to walk without pain. He also added tape which helped more by 40%. Something that no other Chiropractor or Physical Therapist has ever done. Got all my VA appointments with them booked in advance. Easy and free parking too! Highly recommended.

The reason for the 3 starts is I went in for the tightness of my upper back. I'm not sure if I was expecting since it's a Chiropractic Center that I would get that Chiropractic experience like when I've gone to other centers here on the island and mainland. But..I well, never got "adjusted". Being military it is out of pocket- which is no problem but unfortunately will not be going back after second visit because I was rubbed down for 4-7 mins and used a tool for a min

Snap...Crackle...POP! Those were the words I thought of when I considered going to the chiropractor, but boy was I wrong!
I recently needed to go to the chiropractor after the birth of my daughter. I was dying...I was so sore, and my neck, back, shoulders, and arms were sore from carrying her, laying with her, and nursing. Wow, it's seriously terrible.
I was so freaked out, though, because I went to the chiro when I was a kid, but it hurt me. So I finally worked up the nerve to call Ohana Chiro when I couldn't wait any longer.

My hubby and I both see Dr. Robert every two weeks to get graston treatments and realignment. We both are very active and love to workout, so back health is truly essential to our happiness and livelihoods. If you haven't had a graston treatment it's a dull metal blade which he uses to breakdown all the built up scar tissue on your muscles. It's pure heaven, especially when your shoulders or back have a ton of tension built up in them.

I'm glad I found this Chiropractic Center! I had been feeling some lower back pain so needed a professional to help me diagnose and treat the problem.
They are included in the Kaiser approved list so I was able to use my health insurance to cover the payment and I only had a nominal co-pay ($20) under my plan.
The customer service aspect was great. There was always someone available to promptly pick up the phone. I could call and schedule my appointments easily. The building was easy to find (whale mural) and the parking was a breeze!

I'll be honest and say that I was skeptical of chiropractic medicine until I had no choice but to try it. Dr. Anderson saved me during my pregnancy. I had the worst hip/joint/lower back pain ever. It was difficult for me to walk after siting still for some time. I looked like the tin man in serious need of some oil. After a few sessions with Dr. Anderson, I was feeling a lot better. He takes his time with his patients and I felt like he really listened to my concerns. He took the time to demonstrate different yoga poses that would also help me. His wife Amy was also really nice.

The first thing you notice or feel when you walk into this center is how friendly everyone is. It's nice to be greeted with a smile when you're feeling any sort of pain. I specifically visited Dr. Robert for some upper back strain. What drew me to him (all the way down from the North Shore) is his approach that didn't involve loud cracking sounds on my neck, which has always freaked me out! Using this tool (which looks like a shoe horn), he was able to apply pressure where needed, and followed it up with some really good stretches that I could do at home. I would highly recommend

One of the nicest doctors I have met while on island so far. His office is easy to get to. Parking is a pain but what else is new with Hawaii. You can usually find a deal on groupon for first consultation. Prices are a little high and that's the reason why I had to stop going to him but great doctor!!! Recommend to anyone!!!

I especially appreciate his manner with my kids. He keeps things lighthearted with my little ones and gives more detailed but still age appropriate information to my older daughter. I have been going to 'Ohana Chiropractic since I was about 36 weeks pregnant over a year and a half ago. I was amazed by the relief that I received as soon as I started getting adjustments, and wished that I hadn't put it off so long! Since then, my baby and I have seen Dr. Anderson many times, and he has been a great help, especially when we are sick. I have only seen Dr. Anderson, but have heard great things about both doctors. I highly recommend 'Ohana Chiropractic.

This was my first visit to a chiropractor, and I was not disappointing. Dr. Anderson was a really friendly guy, and I like his preventative / root cause approach to things. He explained which muscles he believed were causing the issues I was having, so I now have something to work on before my next visit (in a month) to see if it helps at all.
As a powerlifter, it will be interesting to see how his help impacts my lifts as a whole.
