Grantham founded the first pharmacy in St Pauls in 1910 when he opened Grantham Drug Company. The store was first located in the old hotel building on the corner of Broad and Second Street.
He eventually moved the pharmacy to where the former Joe Sugar's of St Pauls was located. The store was a gathering place for the local community due to its soda fountain where floats and shakes were freshly made upon request. Mr. Grantham continued to work at the pharmacy until his retirement in the 1950's when he sold to Edward Brisson.
