Grantham founded the first pharmacy in St Pauls in 1910 when he opened Grantham Drug Company. The store was first located in the old hotel building on the corner of Broad and Second Street.
He eventually moved the pharmacy to where the former Joe Sugar's of St Pauls was located. The store was a gathering place for the local community due to its soda fountain where floats and shakes were freshly made upon request. Mr. Grantham continued to work at the pharmacy until his retirement in the 1950's when he sold to Edward Brisson.

Like most businesses in St. Paul's Brisson's Drug Inc has been around forever but unlike other places this one still holds that feeling of an era gone by. They greet you by name and if you've been a customer for any length of time they know your medical history and can tell you if a new prescription is going to affect any other medicine you're taking before they ever fill it. To top things off they still sell hand dipped ice cream!!! And should you need them to they also deliver your medicine right to your door.
