Services
Ellen graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy and has been a practicing pharmacist for over 30 years. She has worked as a pharmacist at Wilson's since 2013, and became acting Pharmacist-in-charge in 2018. Jonathan was hired by John Desjardins while he was still in high school and assumed the role of manager in 2001.
An estimated 50 percent or more of medications for chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol and diabetes, are not taken as prescribed. Medication non-adherence can lead to worsening health conditions, hospitalizations and death. Whatever the reason is for medication non-adherence, we have a solution for you.
As a long-term care pharmacy (LTCP), we provide medications and consultant pharmacy services to long-term care facilities such as nursing homes. As a LTCP, we provide continuous access to a pharmacist as well as offer emergency delivery of medication. Our main focus is to ensure that patients have access to their medication therapies in a timely manner.
You may find that you have been prescribed a number of medications, and that you need to take them at different times of the day. It can be difficult to keep track of what medication you need to take and when. We offer a multi-dose packaging that bundles your medications together by date and time. For example, all your medications that are to be taken in the morning will be packaged together in one pack.
We are proud to offer Pet Care including supplies, medications, and compounding. The practice of compounding is becoming a popular solution to veterinary problems. Your pharmacist can provide specialized prescription services to veterinarians in the treatment of almost all animals.
Exotic pets, horses, dogs, cats and zoo animals may all require medication at some point and our pharmacists can assist veterinarians in offering dosages that are patient-specific in strength and formulation.Compounding can also make medicating animals easier, as the medications can be prepared in the form of flavored chews or capsules that animals accept readily.

I spoke with a pharmacist this morning and inquired about pricing on a particular prescription for my dog. I have not received service like this from a pharmacy EVER. Absolutely amazing. Not only was I able to save close to $30 on one prescription but the pharmacist called Target to have the prescription transferred over. The customer service is stellar. Thank goodness for old school values in this crazy world we live in. I'm grateful.

There are not many pharmacies like Wilson's Drug Store. Wilson's is a "home town" pharmacy. The pharmacists are not only professional, friendly and helpful but they treat everyone with with an "individual" personalized & comfortable experience each time you are in the store. The staff that work at Wilson's are friendly, polite & helpful. It's definitely on a first-name basis. While waiting for your prescriptions; which are generally filled extremely fast, Wilson's also has a unique shop to browse or pick up that one of a kind "Maine" Swearshirts, teeshirts, postcards & magnets.
