I feel immensely blessed to be an orthodontist. My job gives me two incredible opportunities. It allows me to meet and interact with so many of the amazing people in this community--people I may not otherwise have the privilege of meeting. It also enables me to impact the lives of these people in such a positive and meaningful way.
Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and arch-wires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.
Now that you have your braces, how do you take care of them? It's important for you to know how to properly take care of your braces throughout your entire orthodontic treatment. Don't worry, you'll be eating popcorn and snacking on potato chips again in no time! However, before you can start enjoying some of the treats you love, you will need to take special care to avoid any foods that could damage your new appliances.
What is the difference between early orthodontic treatment and regular orthodontic treatment, and why might my child need early treatment? How will early treatment benefit my child in the long run? These are just a few of the questions surrounding the topic of early orthodontic treatment for children.
The palatal expander "expands" (or widens) your upper jaw by putting gentle pressure on your upper molars each time an adjustment is made. The animation below will instruct you about when and how to adjust your expander. When you achieve the desired expansion, you will wear the appliance for several months to solidify the expansion and to prevent regression.

OUr family really likes this office! From the front desk to the technicians to the doctors, the entire experience is seamless. You can tell they work as a team - even dressing similarly. They use technology correctly and efficiently to document care, communicate and make appointments.
The kids love this place because they have free slushies. I really dont care about that, but I love that my son doesnt fight going to the appointments because he expects his slushie at the end.
The office is modern, clean and they play music - sometimes loud. It's upbeat and fun. A great place to go if you

Great orthodontist and caring staff! I saw them for lifelong TMJ. Dr. Christopher and his staff truly care about their patients and their office is not just an office-it reminds me of visiting someone's house. Also, who can say no to free slushees?
