My 77yr old husband went here first time. They have good reputation. Just after the fact getting rear brake pads & 2 rear rotors and brake fluid flush and fill it came to $630.38. I had to pay 3percent extra for credit card which brought to $649.28. After consulting other mechanics I think they are very high. Maybe they did a good job and that is why it's so expensive but we live on a poverty level social security income and all I can do is tell others on fixed income to check out other mechanics prices first. Husband and I did not do that and will now pay on that purchase for a year.

I have been coming to John Chak's for years to service my car. These guys watch out for me and take care of all my car needs. In fact I lovingly call them my "car husbands".

We heard abt Chaks garage from family member who uses them. Well they had our ford escape for 3 to 4 hours diagnosing the issue. I was afraid would be expensive and the fix was appropriate....even for taking our car apart to find the problem and 2 mechanics on it....yikez! Big bucks?!? No maam!!!! Diagnosis was under 30.00!!! We were told that it was brakes somewhere else. Turns out it was not!!! We went back monday and had it fixed. The Chaks staff are wonderful! Thanks for the ridez John C and good job Tyler! We will be returning as needed!!!!! Thanks John!!!!

I will never go to another shop again! This is my first time coming to John Chaks Auto and the experience was great! They are very knowledgeable and were able to fix my ac that Ellis Auto couldn't figure out. AND they got it in and out in 24 hrs! Im very happy with their work and would recommend them highly

Driving from Illinois heading to Mexico heard a noise on one of the tires but it was not flat, Honda dealer was booked for the day and referred me to John , awesome service !!! a nut stuck on the emergency brakes making the noise randomly. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
Said need spend $400 for tapered bolts having trouble align tow in on front end alignment .reason they could not get aligned because right front tire had 3 inches movement because wheel bearing coming out. Wow safety big hazard. They didn’t even caught. Other place replaced front wheel bearing no issue with alignment

Just had my Superduty Ford pickup in with exhaust manifold leaks and they handled it with honesty and integrity. My wife took our car into their shop last summer. They told her she needed about $4000 worth of work for a 2003 Hundai. The major problem was that the AC compressor had gone out. They told me on the phone that there were no compressors under $750 dollars...I researched the item online and could not find any that were over $350..?
Ended up taking it to a shop in Pottsboro and got everything done ( including wheel bearings & AC) for about $1000.
Moral to the story, if they quote you a price, get a 2nd opinion. Their prices seem to be crazy high!

Excellent service! The guys were friendly and helpful, answered all my questions, and were honest about possible cost. I dropped my truck off on my lunch break, and it was ready for me that same afternoon! Luckily it was just a minor issue, and the whole experience couldn't have gone better. I will definitely bring my vehicles here in the future, and will be recommending them to friends!
