First Wellness Family Chiropractic has been serving the Austin community with comprehensive chiropractic services for over 20 years of operation. Our chiropractor and wellness consultant, Dr. Hunter Owen, has the training to diagnose and test patients for a variety of conditions related to the neuromuscular system.
First Wellness Family Chiropractic takes a preventative maintenance approach to health. The spine surrounds the spinal cord, the master conduit of the body's nervous system. In addition to treating back pain caused by injuries, maintaining proper spinal alignment can help maintain good health. Infant chiropractic care can get the newborn's body on the path to optimal health.
Then we will invite you into a consultation room, where Dr. Owen will talk to you about the reason for your visit. He will gather more information about your health history and concerns. He will conduct a thorough examination including a posture check, comprehensive examination, and a full spine x-ray.
Once a patient has completed intensive care, they can begin wellness care. The majority of alignment management happens in wellness care. Although pain has been significantly reduced by now, the goal is to attain as much balance and alignment as possible for the purpose of affecting quality and quantity of life.

During the quarantine I over exercised and pulled out a rib! Went to the emergency room and all they could do was drugs. I’ve never had pain like this. I called Hunter Owen and went in got X-rays, and treatment! 8 visits later I could breathe and sleep! I continued for treatment over 3 months and now I’m totally healed. Thank you so much Hunter! Your staff is awesome and has helped me thru this very stressful time!!

My husband and I are so happy with Hunter Owen. We came in with lots of pain and alignment issues and now are feeling much better. No problems whatsoever! Dr. Hunter Owen has been my chiropractor for 18 years now. He has see me through many years of lower back, shoulder and neck issues. Preventative care has kept me active & playing golf even after surgery to repair a herniated disc at L3 & L4. At 68 I have hereditary degenerative disc from T12 to S1. I believe that without Dr. Owens commitment to my well being I would not be able to stay as active as I have been.

My 9 year old daughter was involved in a car wreck that caused significant discomfort in her back. After several trips to the orthopedic specialists and rehab therapy, she wasn't feeling any improvement. A family friend suggested we try Dr. Owen. On our first visit, he immediately knew what was needed. After her first treatment we saw good improvement. After about 8 treatments, she was completely pain free. Next I went thru a treatment program with Dr. Owen for chronic lower back pain. He took some x-rays and showed I was significantly out of balance. He had some suggestions for changes in my routine

I have been treated for painful back and associated chiropractic issues for nearly 40 years by perhaps 6 or 7 different doctors. All of them were good and helped me to manage my condition pretty well. But, without a doubt, Dr. Owen has proven in the past few months to be the best and most helpful in all my experience.
