Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.
When someone you know passes away, your first instinct is to offer encouragement, help, and support to those affected - but you may not be sure what to say or do. It's okay to feel this way. Does it matter what I wear? Can I bring the children? What should I say to the family of the deceased? When should I visit?
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

Twice now my family has required their services. Both times, the owners and staff did everything in their power to make each of these terrible days less stressful and at least tolerable. There were no pushy sales tactics and their explanations of the services were offered in layman's terms that were easy to understand. Every part of the services was mapped out by the staff, and nothing was left to chance - taking much of the stress out of the situation. God bless these folks.
