In its 100th year, the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association (IMBA) has stood as the state's premier mortgage banking trade association comprised of companies and institutions whose business interests revolve around residential mortgage lending including mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, community banks, national banks, credit unions and those providing services to mortgage lenders, including mortgage insurance companies, title insurance companies, attorneys, appraisers, credit bureaus, compliance and technology service providers and others.
Services
Since 1920, the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association has been a powerful resource and advocate for the mortgage industry. Our members are from mortgage banking firms, commercial banks, savings banks, credit unions, title and mortgage insurance companies and other organizations that service the mortgage banking industry.

Mission: Responsible for determining and disseminating ways that low/moderate income borrowers' needs can be met through available lending and/or educational programs; maintaining liaison with other groups including nonprofit groups, governmental entities and secondary market agencies.
Any organization doing business in the State of Illinois or any immediately adjacent state which is engaged in the business of providing services, products or solutions to Lender Members.

Such organizations include, but are not limited to: Appraisers, Accountants, Attorneys, Insurance Agents, Credit Bureaus, Consultants, Recruiters, Staffing Companies, Title Insurance Companies, Mortgage Insurance and any other type of organization who has a purpose as aforesaid.
The Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association has been serving the mortgage finance community for over one hundred years. Its diverse membership is comprised of companies whose business interests revolve around residential mortgage lending, including community, regional and national banks, mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, and those providing services to mortgage lenders.
Cancellations must be received at least 72 hours prior to event to receive a refund. A $25.00 service fee is assessed on all cancellations. Payments or contributions to IMBA are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes, but may be deductible as a business expense.
