We travel a lot and use Hotwire frequently. This was easily the most disappointing and unpleasant experience we've ever had. Our expectations were not high as we only needed the room for a few hours before catching an early flight out so we took the risk to book this one despite not great reviews or stars. What we didn't expect is what we walked into. There is no onsite parking (not a huge deal) but they sent us to a nearby hotel to use their valet. Honestly, the only thing worthy of stars is the other hotels valet. The room was DISGUSTING! The mattress was filthy and stained. The couch

Going against all the negative reviews, we stayed at this hotel. We only needed to be there for a few hours for our 1 night stay. It was a risk that we knew we were taking but...... WE WON'T STAY HERE AGAIN. I'll sum it up for you. BLOOD ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR. DIRTY WASH TOWEL STILL IN THE SHOWER. HAIR ON THE BED. FILTHY, OLD MATTRESS. EMPTY SOAP CONTAINER.

The room itself looks decent and the sheets were clean looking. There's a kitchenette area which was a surprise. And you're super close to the beach. That's all the positive I can offer.

Found through a groupon deal and will say very well worth it ! Loved the staff, 3 different guys all so sweet and informative. They also added to my wonderful stay. The location is PRIME ! Literally walking distance to the crowd , but also in the quiet cut. The rooms were good size and had everything needed. I wasnt weirded out with the beds , because i normally am. It was cute and simple , good enough for a weekend alone. Will stay again.

This establishment was booked by my gf on Hotwire. We arrived for check I'm on 4/13/19. The first room key issued looked used. The desk attendant provided just one card for two guests. That wasn't a huge deal considering the first room card opened a room with somebody's property still in there. In other words, it was another guest's room. We returned to the check-in desk and the guy doubted us until he saw it himself. He was confused about how it happened. After another 10 minutes he gave us a key card to a second, different suite. Guess what happened? Someone's purse was

Ok so I wanted to write a quick review, because alot of the reviews on here can scare you and its really not as bad as some ppl are making it seem. I booked this hotel because it was very inexpensive in comparison to others, no extra fees, didn't ask for deposit nada! I hadn't read any reviews prior to booking and when I did decide to look, the reviews were so terrible I thought I was going to walk into a roach infested hole in the wall, but to my surprise it wasn't bad at all! We got there at 9pm and were able to check in with no issues, the hotel is a bit outdated but they are

Very good for the price, the rooms are big enough, clean, well-equipped, have kitchenettes. The best location in South Beach, 5 mins walk from the ocean, 8th and Washington/Pennsylvania ave. in the middle of everything but rather quiet at the same time. The best rooms are on the top floor. Ask for top floor + Pennsylvania Ave views rooms (because rooms with Washington ave views are a lil more noisy). Front desk is very friendly, speaks English, Spanish and Russian. Serves free snacks and drinks. WiFi is free

Save yourself. Do not stay here. It's too late for me. The photos of the cockroaches should be enough warning.

It serves it purpose. I appreciated that the floor in my room was tile. But most of all shout to Miguel he was so helpful and went out his way when booking our rooms. Michelle was also very helpful, make sure you ask her for "Michele's guide to not going broke while at south beach" . I see this hotel as being for individuals who are not going to be on their room the majority of the time but want to be in a good place to get to many attractions. Again Miguel, you're the real MVP! Thanks

First of all I need to give a shout out to Michelle, one of the receptionists at the front desk. She gave my friends and I the best recommendations of places to visit and eat in Miami. Michelle, you get 10 stars! We stayed at the hotel through Airbnb. The room was small and by a busy road but we were in South Beach Miami so can't complain about too much. The room had what we needed and it was a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Well, lets face it; there isn't anything royal about this place. However, for the price and the location, I would stay here again. The room was small and a little crowded, but it was clean. Nothing fancy at all, but it was a quiet comfortable place to sleep. I didn't see any bugs and I didn't get bed bugs, so that's a plus!

Their room rates were the cheapest in the area, which is why I chose them. I just got the standard room and it had a mini fridge and microwave, which was actually more than I was expecting. Staff was pretty accommodating, and they even offer beach towels

No Stars!! This place has ROACHES!! And not water bugs from outside...legit household, nasty baby and adult roaches!

The hotel manager, Charles and Mel, and staff is full aware too. They play like they didn't know but they do. Because the more I complained the more evident it became that knew the roaches were there and was trying to swindle their way out of being accountable.

Don't stay here unless you want to take a little something extra home with you! See the pictures!! I smashed roaches all night instead of sleeping to KEEP THEM OUT OF MY STUFF!!! It was disgusting!!

I have no idea how this hotel gets all the good reviews. Based on the yelpers, I booked this hotel, stayed 2 nights and felt betrayed. Stop posting fake reviews!!!

First of all: pros
The location is okay, but you will see a ton of other hotels much closer to the beach.
The bed was kind of comfortable.
The bedsheets were clean.
The staff members were decent.

Ok. Here are cons.
This hotel is a total ghetto. I was so dissappointed and embarrassed when I found myself walk into the ugliest/dirtiest building in the area.
Still I put my hope high and went into the room. There were 2 uncomfortable

This is perfect location, clean rooms.. Nothing fancy but if you're in south beach miami for spring break you will barely spend time in your room anyway! Microwave and mini fridge in our room. ANTHONY was at the front desk and he was absolutely amazing. So nice and helpful in every way possible. He made our stay Amazing!!! Bc of him we will be back. Thank you!

The pictures are nothing like the actual hotel. Came down with a group of girls for a bachelorette party and was unable to get adjoining rooms or even rooms next door. Our room was large with two beds, one being in a separate room and a bathroom. The room also had a sink, refrigerator, and microwave. Basically it had the necessities, which is all I really needed.

The good things about this hotel were the location and the beds were clean. We were able to walk almost everywhere, including the beach. A dead roach was found on the step, which was gross.

Overall I have paid less and gotten better

The Royal gets a huge "A" for effort. The owners have turned a dump into a very nice hostel-like property. What you get is a private room and bathroom that is clean and comfortable. The rooms are small so I would not consider cramming four adults into one during spring break. The noisy a/c unit helped drown out the noise from Washington Avenue during the night and I slept great. The unit also kept the room cool despite the noise. The bed was comfortable.

If you want to come to South Beach but don't have unlimited funds, the Royal is your spot especially if you're

This place was way better than expected. Stayed here after a cruise and wished we stayed here before as well. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but very cute once you get to the rooms and the Solarium. It is a budget hotel, but I was extremely surprised. Everything was sparkling clean, the staff was very friendly, the location is PERFECT for Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road Mall access and the beach was just a few teeny blocks away.

I'm a fan of Gordon Ramsay's Hotel hell and, I have to say, I did not hesitate anywhere in terms of cleanliness. Would stay again for sure!
