Dr. Short is a certified Kennedy Decompression Technique practitioner and is certified in Cox Flexion Distraction technique. This combination of training and specialized equipment allows him to effectively treat and manage bulging or ruptured disc in the cervical spine (neck) or lumbar spine (low back) as well as degenerative disc and spinal stenosis.
Dr. Luke Short is a 2020 graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He specializes in the Gonstead system of analyzing and adjusting. He is also certified in soft tissue techniques such as spinal Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) and the Graston technique. Dr. Luke sees patients of all ages as well as families with a variety of ailments.
This is the most common reason patients seek chiropractic care. Most low back pain is the result of a mechanical problem and therefore needs a mechanical correction (as opposed to chemical solution i.e. drugs). Subluxation or misalignment of the lumbar vertebra or pelvis is often the cause and will only resolve with correction by chiropractic care.
Short Chiropractic offers a unique combination of treatment options not available anywhere else in the Tri-State area. The Pro Adjuster, a computerized spinal analysis and adjusting instrument, provides the most gentle treatment option. More aggressive treatments, including the Cox Flexion-Distraction technique and computer generated disc decompression, are prescribed to treat some of the most difficult spinal patients.

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Short for years. He is very professional, and courteous. He is timely, and when the appointment times are backed up, the staff will let you know. The staff are great, talkative, and very fun. You can tell they love their job. The rooms are clean, and the waiting room is comfortable with a small play area for little kids.
