Few places in Central Pennsylvania boast such dignified beauty and history as the Bush House Estate. Originally built in the mid-1800s as a private home, the mansion and its sprawling grounds now serve as a secluded and seductive wedding and event venue, where guests take in the grandeur, find hidden charms throughout the property, and hold the most special and important of occasions.
The Bush House Estate includes the 6,000 square-foot main house and two cottage homes for events and lodging. Both a picturesque backdrop for weddings and a sophisticated environment for corporate meetings, the venue can accommodate an intimate group of 25 or a reception of up to 200 guests.

The Bush House Estate, built in 1847, was once a private summer home in the secluded woods of Central Pennsylvania. As the community grew around it, the estate managed to stay nestled and private in its grove of hemlock, oak, and pine trees. Over the last century and a half, it's been the scene of family picnics, elegant parties, meaningful gatherings, and has even served as a working dairy farm for a time.
You become a part of the long-standing history of The Bush House Estate when you tie the knot at this beautiful venue. The mansion, built in 1847, has witnessed the march of time and collected mementos: strips of Marie Antoinette's wallpaper grace a bathroom, marble fireplaces imported from Italy, the unique three-story cantilevered staircase inviting guests to the cozy rooms above.
There's something intriguing and romantic about staying in a centuries-old home, where the windows span floor-to-ceiling, the furnishings are regal, the woodwork and architectural details are finer than any other, and where you can imagine stories from a past long gone. Where the beds are grand and comfortable.
When it's time to get the team together for a retreat, presentation, or strategizing session, the Bush House Estate is a private and quiet venue that feels off the beaten path but is convenient from all directions. The historic mansion is wired for modern technology, allowing for multi-media presenting in a sophisticated and stately environment.

It was my daughter's dream to have her wedding at The Bush Estate and her wedding was beautiful and perfect! Carmen was a dream to work with, the grounds, house and tent are meticulously maintained, and Carmen also provided other little touches like seasonal decor and provided various items that added further ambiance to the day. Our photographer captured gorgeous images that further showcased the beauty of the day, the wedding, and this gem of a venue for lasting memories. Our family and friends were blown away by the location and the entire experience of the day both in the house and on the grounds

I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding at this venue. Now, while the place is quite gorgeous and is quite an amazing backdrop for a wedding ceremony… the owner quickly ruined the experience. At 9:30 pm the night of the wedding when the bride and her family and friends should have been enjoying their time she was told that everything must be cleaned up and removed from the house by 11pm. This was never discussed before with the bride or family, otherwise planning would have been in place to make it

My Daughter just got married here last saturday and The Bush House is amazing. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the owner was there through the whole event helping make this wedding go off without any issues. Due to covid we had a hard time finding people to help with the event, but the owner was right there doing all she could to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you for a great wedding experience and all your help in making my daughter's wedding day everything she wanted!

My husband and I recently stayed at Bush House Estate while visiting friends in the area.
What a lovely experience...waking up to such beautiful surroundings both inside and out!
Everything was clean, well maintained and absolutely charming.
Carmen was a wonderful host...making sure we had everything we needed.
We hope to stay again during our next visit!

We were forced to move our venue outdoors because of COVID-19. Luckily, the Bush House was available for our wedding date. Even though it wasn’t where we intended to have our special day, we were over the hills that we landed there. It was truly a blessing in disguise. Everything was absolutely perfect and beautiful. My bridesmaids and I spent the night before the wedding in the guest bedrooms which was so much fun. The house is just gorgeous and Carmen was great to work with. Our guests were in awe of the venue, as were we. I highly highly recommend the Bush House!!!
