Dr. Koppelman is a graduate of New York University dental school, one of the best in the country. He has been a Patchogue dentist since 1996 and has been through several post graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving his D.D.S. degree. His emphasis on patient comfort as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry enable him to provide his patients with the best quality of care in the field.
The first step is to choose a good toothbrush. You always want to use a soft brush with a small head. A soft brush is hard enough to remove plaque and soft enough not to damage your teeth or gum. The next issue is to choose a good toothpaste. In general any toothpaste that contains Fluoride will do the job, unless you have a special need that is determined by your dentist.
1- Pressure should be placed on the gauze pad that has been put over the extraction site for one hour. If the bleeding continues new gauze should be placed and pressure applied for another 45 minutes. 2- If you are supervising children who have had an extraction done, make sure they don't bite on their numb lips or tongue (it can cause serious injury to their soft tissue).

I never thought it would be possible to have a great experience at the dentist until I went to see Dr. Koppelman recently. He is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The quality of his work is excellent. I’ve never had to wait and the office staff is super friendly. Every dentist should be like him!

Dr. Koppelman has a wonderful manner, very informative and thorough. He explains everything he sees, what he's doing and what options you have to get you what you need. He is gentle and goes out of his way to make your procedure comfortable. He has a wonderful receptionist named Robin who is very friendly and personable. You won't find a better dentist!

Dr. Koppelman is the most caring and attentive dentist I have ever had. He did an amazing job with my veneers and truly cares about your well being. I have had a few emergency dental situations and while they were painful, Dr. Koppelman worked hard to get me the correct treatment quickly and followed up with me to see how I am doing. My mother and grandmother now also go to him, I could not recommend him enough!

Dr Koppelman is excellent. Looks for the most conservative way to provide professional care without exorbitant prices. He finds solutions to even your most complex dental problems. An expert in cosmetic dentistry as well.
He has a wonderful staff (Laura) which speaks to the kind of person he is. He's always accessible, never a long wait and appointments aren't difficult to obtain.
I'm a little demanding in general but he's manage to meet all my expectations.
