AFI has multiple systems to fulfil your blasting needs including a 40' blast booth. We can use a variety of media including silica, crushed glass, and steel grit to prepare parts. Abrasive blasting is important for all coatings and will create an etch on the part for which the coatings to adhere. Blasting also ensures the parts are free of dirt and rust prior to coating.
We can give you the durability of heat-fused powders for metal substrates. Powders are available in many colors and types: polyesters, urethanes, epoxies, etc. Parts can be selectively masked for special applications. Powder coating is a dry finishing process. Finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the products to be coated.
We can add graphics or accent color to metal, plastic, glass, etc. Associated Finishing specializes in precisely tooled fixtures for close tolerance applications. We can provide finished screened parts or just the screens for companies with in-house printing capabilities. When setting up new orders that require either silk-screening or pad printing, we frequently have trouble explaining exactly what is required for artwork to our customers.
