In 1979 inventor and avid sport fisherman Mick Rupp set out to design and manufacture an outrigger system that was easy to use and easy to service, his mission was to produce "the finest outriggers in the world". Rupp Marine Inc. was founded a year later as demand quickly grew for his superior quality, user friendly designs.
The years immediately following incorporation saw a rapid expansion of the Rupp Marine patented product range, which included the invention of the T-top mounted outrigger. After three years my outriggers started to badly peel and corrode. The worst part is that I've called the company four times and I cannot even get a call back. I can understand a product that cannot survive the harsh conditions of the sea however a company that won't even take a phone call, that's shady.
