A jumbo loan goes beyond the conforming loan limit so the houses are usually in the "luxury" category. The jumbo loan comes with unique underwriting policies and tax implications.
FHA loans in Oregon are loans that help people, who usually couldn't get a loan, achieve homeownership. While these loans are not for everyone, they can be appealing for many reasons. An FHA loan is guaranteed by the Federal Housing Authority. The FHA does not issue the loans (credit unions and local banks issue them) but they "back" the loan meaning they will repay the lender should you ever default on the loan.
If you're active duty or a United States Veteran, then you can use the VA loan to get that house you've always wanted. The Oregon VA home loan (Veteran Affairs Loan) is a loan that is offered by private banks or credit unions and backed by The Office of Veteran Affairs. Because the VA loan is for Veterans of the United States Military- there are some unique requirements.

Casey was a godsend during the home buying process. After receiving broken promises from a number of mortgage lenders, Casey was able to pull together all of the complicated pieces of my debt, divorce, home sale and so much more and help me obtain a home loan above and beyond what anyone else was capable of. He was calm and collected throughout the process, and so patient with all of my stress- including when the first house I tried to purchase burned down in a fire. Update: Casey was a dear and got us updated information that helped make sense that my kids were not getting. And since speaking with Casey it seems like things are moving along. Pleased with that very much.
OP: Paul Padilla has lied to my kids and I understand the process since I have had my real estate license for quite some time. Cannot give accurate information nor give the seller correct information. Been a disaster. Maybe the rest of the company is good but Paul himself is a complete mess. Do not use him.
