Our funeral home founder, Obert S. "Hub" Peterson, worked for the Anderson-Peterson Funeral Home in Valley City from 1933 to 1940. Hub then opened the Hub Peterson Funeral Home in 1940. Hub and his son, Deforest Peterson, merged with Vince Olson in 1960 to form the Peterson-Olson Funeral Home. In 1985, Vince and Deforest sold a portion of their business to Allen Schuldt to form the Peterson-Schuldt Funeral Home.
