Services
Simply put, it is financial assistance to help pay for the cost of child care. For many of Alabama's families, subsidized child care is a lifeline to work, economic security, and happy, healthy children. Child care assistance provides low-income families with subsidies to offset the cost of child care, allowing them to go to work or school while providing young children with positive early learning experiences necessary for healthy development.
CCC provides free professional development, resources, materials, and onsite assistance to early childhood educators. The CCC team offers a variety of opportunities tailored to the needs of the ever-changing early childhood profession. Training formats include: online, face to face, onsite visits, and virtual.
Mission: Transforming walls into doors as our challenges become opportunities to serve each other. Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Cheaha Regional Head Start (CRHS), a division of TCR Child Care Corporation, has operated a successful program for more than thirty eight years.
Offers two Early childhood programs that include First Class Pre-Kindergarten and the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership. Why First-Class Pre-K or the Partnership? Because it works.

Children who participate in a high quality early learning environment do better in school, are less likely to be held back, are more likely to enroll in secondary education, are less likely to participate in criminal activity, are more likely to be gainfully employed, and are likely to be less dependent on public assistance.Enrollees must provide proof of residence-either a current utility bill or copy of a lease or mortgage.
PAT is an evidence based early childhood program that provides home visits to support new or expecting parents. Through monthly visits, parents develop a better understanding of child development, expectations, and gain creative skills to support school readiness. A certified parent educator is assigned to each family.
