I am so glad that you are here on my site! My name is Melinda Smith and I have been a hairstylist for 30 years. I have been a salon owner since 1998. My inspiration to be a hairstylist came from my grandfather when I was three years old. I would often comb his hair and he would pay me in pennies.
This one act of kindness and not to mention positive reinforcement from him sparked an interest in me that I could make others feel good about themselves.The pennies were just an added benefit! Being a hairstylist has never really been a job for me. Because of my passion for the beauty industry, I enjoy the creativity of it all and the opportunity to continue learning to help me serve my guests the best that I can.
