A neighborhood tavern owned by the Crouse family for more than thirty years, Dave Sr. was an icon in the neighborhood. The Good Time Bar was a long time favorite of workers getting off the bus at the Millvale loop, a local favorite establishment serving food, providing a venue for pool/dart leagues and having entertainment.

Dave Crouse Sr.'s legacy lives on passing the torch to his son Dave Crouse Jr, growing up learning the business from his father, continuing the tradition of great customer service and providing a family atmosphere. David Crouse assumed management of the business in 1998 from his father, and has been running it ever since.

Friendly atmosphere. Great prices. Now non-smoking. Lovey makes the best food ever! Ask for a chicken quesadilla. You won't regret it. Surely a gem on the Millvale-Shaler border!

Love this place..Owner Dave is always there and very hands on. If u want a quick bite to eat they have good eats as well. Add this place to stop for a drink

Efficient staff when it's crowded, we never waited long for our drink orders. It's a smoking bar, which is sometimes difficult to deal with in a confined underground space, but it's a decent place to get an inexpensive beer and listen to some local bands if they're playing.

Very nice extra yinzer crowd, great drink prices, and live blues. Only downside is that it's in a basement with a low ceiling and is extra smokey. They have smoke eaters that help but it's still pretty much a smokers paradise. Still 5 stars all day.

This is a great Pittsburgh dive. It's actually in a basement and you would probably miss it if you didn't know it was there even though there is a small sign near the road out front. Decent prices and no fuss. Basic Bar food, darts, etc. Everyone in the place was really friendly when I was there. I had several people I didn't know say hello and goodbye to me coming and going. They do permit smoking in there which may be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences.
