The name comes from St. Apollonia, who is the patron saint of dentists and was martyred for her faith. She stood firm in her principals and beliefs and refused to compromise them. Dr. James McGrath grew up in North Haven, Connecticut, and attended the University of Connecticut for both his undergraduate and dental school education. After graduating, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Connecticut. After completing his education, he worked in West Haven and Milford, Connecticut, treating patients at a cutting-edge dental practice.
