Delaware Child Development began in 1997 in Bartlesville, OK. The initial programs provided support for parents for child care payments and child care providers with training. The program has evolved to provide a variety of support services for parents and providers.
The program also serves as a liaison between the community and early childhood, providing the community with information about early childhood research, early childhood needs in the area, and ways to help meet those needs. Our commitment to providing high quality early learning environments for children has remained steadfast.

Services
The Delaware Child Development Program focuses on the importance of learning through play, interaction, and engagement. Children in our centers are encouraged to dream, imagine, and invent -- to create and share with one another their own adventures. We embrace outside play -- hot or cold. Research indicates that there is no temperature too hot or too cold for a child as long as s/he is dressed appropriately.
The Delaware Child Development Child Care Assistance Program is designed to help American Indian families help themselves. It was established to provide families with quality child care assistance while parents are working, attending school, or in a certified training program. Because these families have the assurance of child care assistance, they are able to maintain good work attendance and/or receive additional education/training.
Children receive nutritious meals and snacks that provide essential nutrients for healthy growth and development. Children who are well-nourished are sick less often, learn more effectively, and behave better. Child Care Providers receive a reimbursement for the cost of meals and snacks that meet the Child Nutrition Guidelines.
The Delaware Child Development Resource & Referral Program offers training and technical assistance for all child care providers and supports family child care homes and centers. We provide a toll free line for families to call and help them find child care programs that fit their needs. Resource & Referral Resource Room has books, materials, curriculum, theme kits, and more for parents and child care providers to check out.
Dear Parents, Delaware Child Development Center is working towards fostering the relationship between our young children and the elders. Fostering the Social and Emotional Development of Our Children As Early Childhood Educators, we know that it is just as important to.
