Services
Gergen, Gergen & Pretto began life as Bissonnette & Knutson, S.C. in the back of a jewelry store in Beaver Dam's historic Town Hall building in 1979. Its current roster of attorneys had its genesis in 1986 when Bill and Dawn Gergen replaced Attorney Knutson to form Bissonnette, Gergen & Gergen, S.C.

Dawn Gergen graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1986. She graduated with honors from Lawrence University in 1983 where she received her BA degree in history. Dawn and Bill Gergen have raised two children, Henry (25) a graduate student and professional musician and Anna (21), now a college senior.
Robert Pretto has been in practice since his graduation in 1986 from the University of Wisconsin Law School and throughout that time has focused on personal injury, worker's compensation and insurance coverage issues. Mr. Pretto clerked during law school for the Madison based personal injury firm of Johnson, Swingen & Atterbury and joined the firm upon graduation as an associate.
Automobile accidents are common occurrences that result in incalculable losses in terms of personal injury, property damage and inconvenience. Some accidents result only in property damage, others lead to permanent disability or death, but all result in uncertainty and confusion. Attorney Pretto has handled hundreds of automobile accident claims over his career.

Mr. Pretto was very helpful since the beginning. After our car accident we called several places in Fond Du Lac and nobody would return our calls. We decided to call his office in Beaver Dam even though it was farther for us and they answered our call right away.
