Mark Benson, owner of Bencar Building Systems, was born and raised in the California Bay Area and has been in this profession 44 years. He started in the construction business with his Uncle who inspired him and this is where his passion grew to enter construction. After moving to Connecticut in 1995, he realized quickly that his experience in California would be beneficial to homeowners here.
He went ahead and obtained his Connecticut remodeler's license and re-established what he started in California here in Connecticut. He likes building and creating things with his hands and watching projects come together. He takes pride in being sure the job is completed in a reasonable time frame and stands behind the quality of work that his employees perform.

Bencar remodeled our first floor/kitchen this past spring and we are so thrilled with the result. Bencar was able to create our dream kitchen and we were so satisfied with the entire process. Bencar did a full kitchen remodel for us and we couldn't be happier with the finished project. Craig and Greg, the team who completed the bulk of the project, were a pleasure to work with. They were very professional, efficient, careful, respectful of our space, and always cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day which we really appreciated. They kept us up to date on the progress of the project, and we were very happy with the work they did for us! Overall everyone we dealt with throughout the project was great, and whenever a problem came up it was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction

We used Bencar to do our master bath and it was a great experience. Mark and Nancy met with us and we immediately noticed their attention to detail. They were a pleasure to work with, as were Cody and Evan who did the job. Many times they stopped to specify exactly where we wanted something hung or how we wanted something to look to ensure all was exactly how we wanted it. The plumber, tile guy and electrician all were given booklets of information to ensure a smooth process day after day.
We scheduled Bencar for another job already and we would highly recommend them. Our bathroom looks amazing

The entire Bencar team was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. I really enjoyed my continual communication with Cathy in the office were she was always keeping me updated on what was needed and to come as well as a great help when I was stuck in decision making. Cody and Evan were not only a pleasure to have in our home, but their work left little to be desired. We couldn't be happier with the quality of our new kitchen.
