This was a wonderful place to stay for us. We stayed last weekend and had a really late check-in. But Victoria called me that day to make sure everything would be smooth for us. She was so sweet and polite, thank you!
The room was clean, bathrooms clean (2 stinks which is great), toiletries available, clean towels, and a hot shower. The beds are foam, which isn't my favorite but that's ok for a night. Pillows good. Fridge, AC and heat worked fine.
We saw there was a fire pit out back but we didn't go as we got in late and there were a bunch of people already sitting around it. Looked nice though

We were there two weeks ago and booked three rooms altogether. First of all I'd like to start off with good things. The receptionist who welcomed us, she was wonderful. Very young woman with warm smile. We checked the rooms and they were very neat and clean. Breakfast was pretty straightforward; bagels, cereal, mill, packaged danish, yogurt, juice, tea/coffee.
Now the negative things. One of the room's standing light wasn't turning on. But it wasn't that big of a deal since we were just using the room to crash in. The second day, we went for hiking and we're thinking when we head back to the room

The room was nice but alot of noise and Banging throughout the night. It would also be nice if they offered a real Breakfast instead of a pre packaged miniature cake. And they have a Cappuccino machine that hasn't worked in 7 months that I've stayed there every other week for business. Most staff are friendly but some look and act absolutely Miserable even if you say good morning they stair at you with an angry look with no response.

Pros:
The place is very clean, front desk staff is friendly, there's an interesting choice of options to eat within a short drive (Mexican, Pizza, Diner, etc), the brand they use for soap, lotion, etc is delicious (not a strong scent and very hydrating), the bed had a memory foam mattress which i loved, but the pillows...
Cons:
Oh boy the pillows, they felt as if they have been used for YEARS and there was no fluff to them, not to mention they put some covers that makes the whole experience worst. The breakfast consists of coffee, cold cereal, milk, toast, pastries (prepackaged), yogurt, etc

This is a really nice and clean hotel. I have been going on summer adventures this year this is one of the cleanest looking hotel. But the breakfast was underwhelming on one day. Otherwise would have given it 5 stars. If you don’t care about breakfast, this is certainly better than a high end motel.

This hotel lives up to all the great reviews. We drove almost an hour out of our way to stay here and were not disappointed. They do a triple cleaning and disinfecting because of COVID. Each room has a taped sealed door. Our room was clean. The beds were so comfortable. We had a great night of sleep. Highly recommend. It reminds me of a resort just no beech.
We ordered subs from Pizza Plus. Oh my goodness they were good. And huge. You could easily share one sub and one order of fries between two people and be stuffed.

Impeccably clean hotel with excellent staff for a reasonable price. What more does s visitor to Oakes, ND want? BTW, they should leave the cereal, doughnuts and coffee till 10:00 am. Not all of us are early risers like the farmers. Some of us are city dwellers and retirees that sleep in when they go to a small town like Oakes.
