Daniel Thomas Behnke, age 58 of White Pine, Michigan passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side after a brief battle with cancer. He graduated from Ontonagon Area High school in 1981 where he had fond memories of playing Gladiator football and making lifelong friends. He later moved to Florida for approximately 12 years gaining and never losing his southern accent we all loved.
John is a fourth generation Funeral Director and lifelong resident of Ontonagon. He graduated from Ontonagon Area High School with the Class of 1986, attended Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI and graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois.
Located in downtown Ontonagon, this spacious, barrier-free building has been utilized by the Cane family to serve the Ontonagon area since the 1950's. In 1995, a complete renovation took place. The building was expanded, updated and a large parking lot was added. Our building includes a welcoming foyer, spacious chapel, private family gathering area, and coffee bar.
