Alcohol addiction is one of the most common forms of addiction in the United States. It is easy to become addicted to alcohol due to its accessibility. There are several types of alcohol addiction treatment programs available for those who would like to seek help. It is recommended to get help from a qualified treatment facility rather than self-medicate or go through the detoxification process alone.

The road to recovery from alcohol addiction will start with detoxification. It is a process wherein a person gets rid of the alcohol in his system. Depending on how severe the case is, those who have been drinking for a long time may experience some extreme withdrawal symptoms. If this is the case, it is advisable to undergo supervised alcohol detox to avoid experiencing life-threatening complications.
Services
Shasta Wildlife Rescue is a drug rehabilitation center that helps those with addiction to drugs and alcohol. It was established in 1991 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and has helped over 15,000 people get their lives back on track.

They provide counseling services for adults and adolescents, detoxification services, residential treatment programs, day programming for adults and adolescents (including an intensive outpatient program), group therapy sessions, family education workshops for parents of substance-abusing children or spouses of addicts, lectures/seminars related to the prevention of mental health problems associated with substance abuse; employment assistance seminars; parenting classes; psychiatric consultations; vocational training opportunities.
A drug addiction center is more generally known as a rehab center or a drug clinic. These centers specialize in the treating of drug addiction and help folks with addictions cope with the mental and physical facets of their disease. They offer hospital treatment as well as counseling to help addicts become clean and sober again.

Best group of people around. They go all out to help critters. Tuesday morning crew were amazing and saved the hurt bird I brought in. I was sure it would die.
These folks don't even get paid to do their job. Way to go guys, you are such wonderful examples of kindness and compassion. Thank you!

I brought in a tiny baby bird that had fallen out of its nest and they took him in, fed him formula, put him in an incubator and when he's big enough, he'll go into a wildlife bird cage with other rescued birds. They take all wildlife, just no domestic animals. The staff was kind and helpful. Be sure to make a donation!

Very nice place to have an animal healed and released back in to the wild. I had found a red tailed hawk in the acid canal and it was hurt so I called the Shasta wild life there in side the Anderson park area, anyways they cared for it and then after some time they released it back onto the wild (soda speak) so yes I recommend them for sure...5 stars for sure. Thank you Shasta wildlife rescue. J.Beback.
