The Anderson House Hotel is on the national historic register and has been a beloved landmark since 1856. We are ideally located just one block from the Mississippi River and halfway between Wabasha's beautiful beach Park and the world class National Eagle Center. Visitors come from far and wide to see the natural wonder of our Mississippi River Valley and to have the opportunity to see bald eagles in their native habitat as well as up close in a classroom.
Services
Your home away from home has a lot to offer. Please enjoy our common room on the second floor for coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate or popcorn for that late night snack. After you start the day with our breakfast buffet, you may want to browse the gift shop or sit in the cozy parlor. When the weather is nice, we have a lovely patio out back by the perennial garden.
The Anderson House is a historic hotel that was built in 1856! We have all the usual upgrades like central heat and air conditioning, WIFI throughout the hotel, new flat screen TVs and all the rooms have their own private bathroom. Some rooms even have whirlpool Jacuzzis. In 2020 we are adding a Sauna Room on the second floor, so be sure to make a reservation with the front desk to relax in the sauna.
Most of you are now familiar with the banquet room and the gift shop at the Anderson House; however, we are adding additional amenities in 2020. Most notably is our new Sauna Room! It is not just a booth, but a room with aromatherapy, Chroma therapy and other relaxation tools for you. We have added a game room, selfie stations with costumes, a patio fireplace, and we are adding monthly events at the hotel.
Wabasha is a beautiful historic town on the shores of the Mississippi River. As Mark Twain said, . Wabasha is the city of the healing waters. Many people come here to escape the hubbub of the city and relax. They stroll along the river, visit our shops and restaurants and enjoy the small town atmosphere.
The 100 Mile Garage Sale extends from Winona north to Red Wing on the Minnesota side of the River and Fountain City north to Prescott on the Wisconsin side of the River. Individuals and businesses gather with their own garage sales. You can identify garage sales by signage, pink balloons or ribbons.

Not very impressed. It very much has a bed and breakfast feel on their website but, after a more careful search, the breakfast is no longer included. The walls are paper thin. I recognize the attempt at keeping the original style but everything still seems outdated and in need of renovation. The experience did not fit with my expectation for what I should receive for $180. If breakfast had been included my review would probably be more generous.

Hosts were incredible!!!! This is a beautiful historic building. Every room is decorated in period furniture with many modern conveniences. Please note that if mobility is an issue, rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with several steps between floors. Staff was kind in offering to carry luggage to rooms. Had a great, marvelous time!

Wonderful host and amazing view, perfect spot downtown. The host gave us a handmade map of the area for things we can visit and enjoy next time we're down and we did go to one of the parks they recommended and it was absolutely gorgeous! The breakfast was amazing as well, I loved the monkey bread (my favorite, not too sweet). The only thing I didn't like was the quality of the bed, super rough sleep after hiking 5 different State parks, I should have been out cold!

This historic house was so comfortable, cozy, quiet, and just a refreshing stay versus a busy hotel. The hotel amenities were accommodating, it was very clean and well kept, and we loved the historical feel. It was like sleeping at Grandma's house as a kid. We were greeted by very kind staff who made us feel right at home. We stayed in room 11, with a beautiful claw foot tub, pink wallpaper, and antique decor. The House is conveniently located close to the downtown area, the waterfront, and local establishments. We walked down to Slippery's Bar & Grill (Grumpy Old Men theme) and ate our dinner
