I'm Raney O'Keefe, a makeup artist, hairstylist, and lash extension stylist living in Atlanta, GA. I moved here from my home in the Pacific Northwest in 2006 with a diploma in makeup artistry from The Blanche MacDonald Centre for Applied Design in Vancouver, BC. My 20-ish years previous were spent ensconced in the theatre world.
Booking me for your big day means I come to you, on-location to your event (sometimes with an assistant if the group gets big enough). I can travel anywhere, do anything and help you decide on (and execute) exactly what you want. I offer a boutique experience, which means I have more time and attention to listen, communicate, and craft your perfect look with you.
I offer women and men's makeup and hairstyling services both on-location and in-studio. All in-studio makeup and hair appointments take place at my private studio which is located in the beautiful upstairs loft at Hawkins and Clover in Grant Park. Eyelash extensions are perfectly shaped synthetic lashes applied one by one to each of your natural lashes. They are totally weightless and completely safe when properly applied. Through thoughtful discussion and an assessment of your natural lashes I will create a custom design that best fits your lifestyle and desired look.
I've worked with Raney for 7 years and I can say with 100% certainty that she's the best there is. She's consistent, detail oriented and really takes her time to listen to each client and make sure that she's giving them exactly what they want. You can quote me on that! Raney did the hair, makeup and eyelashes for the models at The NotWedding Atlanta 2012 and for the corresponding photo shoots, and we couldn't have been happier with the results!

Raney was the BEST! She did my hair and make up for a wedding and gave me the exact look I was hoping for! I sent her photos of a no make up/ make up look and she nailed it. It was perfect, and I felt beautiful! She also included a cute little kit for the evening with some additional lipstick and touch up items. I got my make up done at 1:30 pm and still looked fresh at midnight, with only a couple lipstick touch ups. Wish I could get this done every day!

I wish Raney could do my makeup for me every day! She listened and understood what I was looking for and showed abundant, obvious skill in achieving the radiant, bright yet authentic look I wanted for a photo shoot. I love how she did my brows and eyes and the color we used for lips. Her assessment of what’s needed and what’s not is spot on! Plus, she’s a genuine and lovely human. Raney did my hair, makeup and lash extensions for my wedding last November. She is such a kind soul and is so very talented at what she does. She took exactly what I told her I wanted and knocked it out of the park. I could not have been happier with my wedding day look. Phenomenal make-up artist and very covid conscious! Raney did my wedding day makeup and did a phenomenal job. I contacted her the week of my wedding because I had a change of heart and wanted to get my make up done professionally instead of doing it myself. Raney was top notch! I knew I was happy with my hair and make-up on my actual wedding day but when I look at the photos now, I truly believe it is truly the prettiest I have ever looked. Raney worked very hard to put my curly hair in the perfect up-do that matched my personality. She listens well to ensure she is matching your style and taste. Working with Raney was awesome! I am very picky about make up, and did not want to look too overdone on my wedding day. I loved that Raney used individual lashes! You do not have to worry about an eyelash strip popping off during the ceremony! She listened to what I wanted, and worked with me to make a customized look!
She was also very calming on the day of the wedding. She showed my bridesmaid the best way to put on and take off my veil without ruining my hair. The make up and hair lasted all day, and I even got compliments at the end of the night!

Raney was our last minute miracle as we had somehow left securing a hair and make-up company to the end of the list. We loved her easygoing personality and her impeccable style. After our trials, we were wishing we'd planned somewhere special to go since we looked so lovely! I have had eyelash extensions and refills from Raney and they are beautiful. I went at 2.5 weeks for the refill and still had most of the original lashes still attached.
I also had a blowout and make-up done prior to an important job interview. She boosted my confidence with well done make-up that wasn't over the top.

My husband made fun of me for getting eyelash extensions for our wedding- but I'm so glad I did. They look amazing in all the pictures- completely natural and I loved not having to wear mascara. I find it hard to justify the expense for just walking around everyday, but if you're a soon-to-be bride, you NEED eyelash extensions. For real. You'll thank me later.
She also spent 2+ hours coaching me on makeup in her adorable kirkwood home, talking me down from the ledge of my lack of self-confidence, giving me samples
