But above all, our primary purpose is to provide hope! Dr. Ernst Anrig opened the doors to Anrig Chiropractic in 1969. Following in his footsteps were his three children, Dr. Claudia Anrig, Dr. Daniel Anrig and Dr. Susi Anrig.
We emigrated from Switzerland in my early 20s. I was an engineer living in Dearborn, Michigan. When my wife began experiencing debilitating back pain while pregnant with Suzi, our third child, the doctors told her it would go away. But it didn't. In fact, it got worse. One day, while at the grocery store, the gentleman at the counter observed that he hadn't seen my wife and children for a while.

My mom was crippled with back pain and it had a real impact on our family. Seeing a beloved family member in so much pain was frustrating. It inspired me to explore natural healing methods after my early passion as an all-American in water polo. When I saw how much chiropractic care helped her, and then to grow up watching my dad help so many people in the same way, I knew it was the path I wanted to take.
It's hard for a family to be a family when someone is suffering. So, a pivotal point in my life was seeing my mom's health restored by chiropractic. It even prompted my dad to give up his successful engineering career to become a chiropractor. And it inspired me and my brother and sister to become chiropractors too.
