We started out as a small service station, and through hard work, professional service and pride in our business, we are grateful to now offer more expansive automotive services. David, his son, joined the business in 1992 and has since helped the business through its fortunate growth into three locations, two in Chambersburg and one in Shippensburg, PA.

Had an unfortunate accident around here during deer season and the state troopers recommended this place and couldn't be more happy with their recommendation. The entire staff we were working with was extremely helpful and treated us beyond expectation. Dave Edwards was THE absolute best person to work with. He didn't care about the monetary value, rather he treated us like we were humans and worried more about our welfare and safety being stranded out here. If I'm ever out in PA during deer season, this is the first place to go if and whenever my vehicle is in trouble.

We have used Abe’s for towing now twice and both times they have been fantastic. Great price, friendly, on time and so accommodating. This is the only tow company I have stored in my phone and the only one I trust to tow my vehicle. If you want top of the line service and great customer care service then this is the company for you. I highly recommend.

This was one of the most professional and hospitable companies I have ever worked with. My car broke down 2 hours from home. They came quick and drove me 130 miles home. Mike was the best company. Myself and the wife live in Delaware and were on our way to Gettysburg in our 1970 VW Beetle. About 8 miles outside of Gettysburg it went kerplunk. Tried for over an hour to get it running and decided enough. Called our insurance company and they dispatched Jon from Abe's. He called and said he would be about an hour. I asked if there would be anyway possible to get it taken back to our house along with us. He called his supervisor, Steve, and he allowed him to. FANTASTIC. Jon showed up within the hour tried to help me get it going but nope. He loaded the bug onto the rollback away we went. He

As a result of the 9/1/21 damage from Hurricane Ida, 2 trees fell on my house and my car resulting in extensive damage. My car was undrivable so my insurance company arranged for Abe's Auto Service & Towing, Inc.to come to pick up my vehicle. The driver, Tom, came as scheduled and reassured me that all would be fine. He was very upbeat and kind. Within minutes he had efficiently loaded my vehicle onto the truck and we were off. Within the hour of my call, Tom showed up and immediately assessed how to hook up & load my disabled SUV onto the flatbed rig. His skill at how to maneuver a downed vehicle was amazing, and all the while he explained how and why he did it. Shop was very considerate, and I was in a rush. They were able to have a master tech run a TBI diagnosis and relearn when everyone else in town was booked two weeks out. They were even a reference from a Firestone technician. Great shop/Fair price.

I was very pleased at every step of the process with Abe's service. We broke down on the side of the highway on the way home from a brief vacation when our car lost power.
Abe's responded quickly. A tow truck was there within 15 minutes
The tow truck driver was very pleasant and personable.
The office staff that I spoke to were helpful. I felt they were taking care of my interests and not trying to take advantage of my situation.

My auto insurance company contracted Abe's Towing to take my disabled car from my house to a local repair shop. I was given an estimate of 90 minutes (not bad, considering Abe's is at least 30 minutes from my house). The truck arrived 30 minutes earlier, the driver was very friendly. My car was loaded carefully and properly on to the rollback and taken to my repair shop. This is the second time I have used my auto insurance for a tow. The first time (with a different tow company) was a disaster. This time it was a pleasant experience.

Dishonest and rude staff. Driver said he would not make it in time, after I was promised that they would. When I said that the dispatcher was dishonest, the driver went off on me and then hung-up. I called another company and the Abes driver had the nerve to show up at my house!!! I asked him if he was the man that hung on me and he said yes. So, this time I gave him a piece of my mind. He took off. As if I was going to let him tow my car anyway with his anger issues.

We had an unfortunate accident which Abe's towing was able to get to us right away at 4:30-5am and helped us out all day. We spent probably 9-10 hours on their tow yard that day just making phone calls to figure out what to do, and over the course of that time we saw nothing but considerate, hardworking, teamwork players who did everything in their power to help us. We really owe them so much thanks for all the care they showed us. Would recommend their services because we saw nothing but their honesty and kindness and feel like we had such a helping hand during our hard time.

Avoid getting your car serviced here. They'll quote you a low price when you drop off your car and when you're ready to pick it up, it will be hundreds of dollars more. They will add items to your bill that you didn't request\authorize. They don't even have the courtesy to call you and tell you that your bill is going to be much higher than your original quote. They just expect you to fork out hundreds of dollars more because they know that you will because they're holding your vehicle hostage.
