My partner and I rented from Susan for several months early this year while we explored the area and searched for a permanent home. Susan is an incredible host and wealth of knowledge in the region. The property was incredibly clean, well furnished, and in a great location with easy access to hiking and the local hangouts. Susan sincerely cares and is a great resource for both new neighbors in the area and locals between spaces!

We rented from Susan and Rent29 and absolutely loved the experience. From the convenience of the exceptionally clean fully-furnished home to the ease of the communication, our whole experience couldn't have been better. We were in limbo, waiting to buy a home and found the furnished home to be exactly what we needed. I stayed on the Maude Adams property for a total of about 8 months. From initial contact with Susan to the day my roommate and I left, I had a very positive and wonderful experience. First, the house itself was in very great shape and came furnished with a variety of accoutrements and amenities that negated the need to buy furniture and other things. Second, the location was great. There was little to no noise (you could practically hear a pin drop down the street) and I was 5 minutes away from one of the main gates for Joshua Tree National Park. The Sullivan Cabin was incredible and spectacularly clean with the best hosts. My family of 3 had an amazing stay, we loved the charming cabin, the beautiful garden, and the mind-blowing array of wildlife at all times of the day (it put the Bambi forest to shame). The home was incredibly well stocked (esp. the kitchen), and overall it was nothing short of a memorable experience that we won't forget. Thank you!

I inquired about renting for a short term-period of a month or so, since several of the houses on Rent29's site said that they offered short-term options; on the first email, Susan was friendly and inviting, and said she was sure she could find something that would work for me. She asked some basic questions about my traveling, most of which I had already stated in my initial contact.
I answered back promptly and (I think) very nicely and professionally, explaining again that I wanted to rent for 4 adults and that Rent29 looked like a great solution and very pleasant and all the nice things

My roommate and I rented from Rent29 for a year and a half and it was the perfect set up for what we needed. You cannot beat fully furnished, all utilities included with the option of month to month. Susan was extremely helpful and flexible with getting situated as we were traveling from the east coast and trying to find housing prior to showing up. Before we even got to town she was recommending places to go and things to do in the desert. The house we rented was meticulously taken care of and if anything ever went wrong or needed repair both Susan and Rus were quick to respond and always willing

We needed a fully-furnished rental for an unknown amount of time while we waited for military housing to be available. Rent29 was extremely helpful, flexible, and professional. My wife and I were welcomed to the area and provided resources on where things were and what activities were close by. The rental was very clean and stocked with anything needed to live comfortably for a short or long period. We were very impressed by the graciousness and flexibility of Rent29 and would absolutely recommend them.

This was the perfect place to stay for our weekend getaway to Joshua Tree. It was clean, comfortable, private and quiet, with nice views and lovely landscaping. The property is well-maintained and well-located - about half way between JT and 29 Palms, close to Indian Cove. We enjoyed climbing and trail running in the national park, then escaped the park crowds by retreating to our peaceful little cottage, complete with wifi, a full kitchen, a cozy living room - everything we were looking for in terms of accommodation. When we first got to 29 Palms, it seemed like there weren't any good options for housing off base. But we discovered a GREAT option in Rent29.
Our family was fortunate enough to stay at the Maude House while we waited for a housing unit on base. It was a perfect fit for our family - fully furnished, with a big yard, and cozy interior. We didn't have to worry about settling in because everything we needed (besides groceries, of course) was provided. There were even Ziplock bags and laundry detergent to get us through the first couple weeks of the always-hectic move in phase.

We were looking for a fully furnished house to live in for a few months. To my surprise we found Rent29 and they had exactly what we were looking for and at a great price. Our last fully furnished house in San Diego, I had to wipe down inside every cabinet and drawers. There were crumbs left and some dishes had crusted food left, so I had to washed every dish. Which is a real pain when all you want to do is relax and not worry about cleaning.

We stayed at the Sullivan cabin, just a mile or so from the Indian Cove entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. The property is far enough from the highway that there is no road noise, and the neighboring properties are zoned to allow privacy when lounging in the yard.
The cabin itself was immaculate, with all of the amenities one could ask for. Dishes, appliances, TV were all top notch (including the granite counter tops).
Our rep was Susan, and in the evening when we found ourselves a little confused with the satellite remote control, she was just a phone call away. She also had recommendations
