Dr. Baker is a 1999 graduate with Honors from the Southern College of Optometry. During that time, he completed internships at the Missouri Eye Institute in Springfield, MO and at a private practice in Raleigh, NC. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Dr. Baker is a native of Advance and a 1990 graduate of Davie High School. Dr. Baker is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Society and the Winston-Salem Optometric Society. He volunteers several times a year providing eye examinations at the Community Care Center in Winston-Salem and A Storehouse for Jesus in Mocksville.

Dr. Baker has been my optometrist for 10 years and has always provided highly professional and personalized care. All of his staff are so personable and welcoming whenever I visit. Recently I had an urgent issue and they made it possible to see me within just a few hours. Through the years I've done what most do - had my eye exam with Dr. Baker but went to a "glasses store" for my glasses. This time I just stayed with Dr. Baker and process was so incredibly easy and convenient. No attempts to upsell me this type of lens or coating or warranty or other add ons. It was just so simple and their frame
