Dr. Patel is a Moorestown native, beginning as a Baker Bear and graduating from Moorestown High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Haverford College and then completed his doctorate at the University of Maryland Baltimore College Of Dental Surgery. After graduating with honors, he furthered his training at the University of Maryland Medical Center with an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Do not be discouraged by bleeding when you initially begin a daily flossing routine, it is simply an inflammatory reaction from your gums. With continual flossing, by the third or fourth week yours gums should heal and you will notice decreased bleeding. We also recommend use of a warm salt water rinse for those who have not been flossing on a regular basis.
It is critical to follow these instructions in order to avoid further complications from the surgical site. If you have any questions or concerns, please notify our office. DO NOT smoke (it would be an ideal time to try some of the smoking cessation aids such as the gums or patches). Do Not Spit (blood and saliva may collect in your mouth, and you may drool into a napkin or a sink).
You should be scheduled to return for a permanent filling at the office within 2 weeks (depending on the healing of the treated tooth). Chewing on a recently root canal treated tooth can result in cracks or fracturing of the entire tooth. As long as your health does not preclude you from use of NSAIDs, they should be your primary medication to assist in the healing process at the tip of the tooth root.

As someone who is terrified of the dentist, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Patel and his staff enough. From check in to check out, the experience was a pleasure. They were thorough, gentle, and made me aware of everything they were doing before they did it. Dr. Patel even went out of his way to help me choose an affordable bite guard. Do not go here. There’s is no sense of communication or professionalism at this office. I thought I was getting a routine cavity filled. I have now been in pain for 5 months when I had no pain prior. The office LEFT ME A MESSAGE saying I have to go to an endodontist and there’s nothing more they can do. I called to speak with Dr. Patel and got a fed a bunch of lies. He told me the cavity was intense and that I was made aware I may need a root canal. Neither of these things were communicated to me.

Terrible & costly experience. In June 2014 I saw Dr Patel due to an old filling breaking a tooth. I expected to get a crown. Dr Patel, brand new owner of this practice, told me I needed a root canal, plus crown. Since there was no infection, there did not seem a need for a root canal. His hygienist chipped a section off my husband's tooth exposing the root. I said we should not be charged for the repair. Dr. Patel said it was inevitable that such an accident would happen (given the structure of my husband's tooth???). Funny we weren't informed of this ahead of time. I was referred here by a friend after wanting to find a new hygienist/dentist for a while. I gave them a call and immediately found the staff to be very friendly. They were able to fit me in for X-rays, cleaning, and exam the very next day. The actual office was very clean with a comfortable waiting room. Everyone at the office is really friendly. I’ve seen a couple different hygienists and been very happy with them. The cleanings are very thorough. Dr. Patel is kind and doesn’t seem to rush through work. I had had a few fillings prior to coming to this office and the fillings I got with Dr. Patel were definitely the least painful and quickest I’ve had.

I was referred to Dr. Patel’s office by a friend and was very pleased with his integrity and professionalism. My previous dentist had overlooked a few serious issues which Dr. Patel caught and set up a reasonable time line to rectify. If you're going in for a teeth cleaning ask for stacey! She did an amazing job and my teeth looked whiter instantly after her cleaning them (I've never had that happen before when getting my teeth cleaned before). The dentist is extremely knowledgable and informative. Great practice and I will most certainly be back!
