Matthews Veterinary Hospital, located in Moultrie, GA, is a full service companion animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facility are designed to assist in routine preventive care for your pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.

We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
Services
Matthews Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Ansleigh has been apart of Matthews Veterinary Hospital since 2013. She began as a kennel technician her junior year of high school and has worked her way to head veterinary technician. She attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College after high school and obtained an Associates of Science. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at San Juan College.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Is the anesthetic safe? Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.

I've had many, many pets, mostly dogs, in my lifetime and Matthews is the only veterinary hospital I've ever used. First Dr. Jimmy (retired) and now his son Tony. Very professional staff and all questions are answered.

On my first visit with our dog, I signed in and waited for someone to come out to the waiting room. People were walking back and forth in a hallway, no one came out to get us. I waited 15 minutes and then left. Only then did someone come out to the car and ask me if we wanted to keep our appointment, which we did. The second visit was worse. Our dog had a hot spot that needed treatment. They didn't have any appointments and told me to drop her off and they would squeeze her in. When I got there, they said that she would have to take a flea pill (even though she doesn't have fleas), would have to
