Our family's story begins back in 1979 when two best friends, John Fontaine and Leon Watkins decided to do some body work in their spare time. This was the start of J & L Auto Body. In 1995 both businesses were thriving. John and Leon quickly discovered that both of their flourishing businesses were quickly running out of space and being located seven miles apart was becoming a headache.
Supporting our local community is very important to us. Ben and David have donated thousands of dollars to local community organizations as well as helping the Keene Fire Department practice their automobile rescue extrication techniques. This community is their home and they are dedicated to serving it and making it safer one vehicle at a time.

Fantastic experience here. Shortly after getting an oil change and some suspension work done, a seal went, I lost oil, and the engine seized up. Broke down on the side of 91. I decided to take it back to them - and boy was I happy I did. They replaced the engine FOR NO CHARGE, and provided me a loaner in the interim! Safe to say they earned a customer for life.

After 3500 our vehicle is not fixed. During our 3 month stint with them, our car has had more "repairs" done than we had asked for, and the very things they called to say needed repair, never got repaired. We left one time with a control arm completely disconnected and left that way, brought it in again to finish up the inspection, check engine light still on. The third time around, the steering wheel was barely connected. The staff at the counter are utterly rude. We brought it to Wilders in Keene awesome staff, awesome mechanics. They literally never did half the repairs they said they did at

My family has been to many body shops through the years, this is personally my first time dealing with this company and I will most definitely be coming back.
Other companies I've dealt with like to nickle and dime you or feed you a bunch of rubbish but this place and the people are not one of them, they got my rig done quick, fast and in a hurry while doing a brilliantly beautiful job on it.
Scott whom I dealt with couldn't have done a better job, he didn't try to sugar coat anything like many others try to do.

Great affordable service. I came into the shop after going to a few other places for some help with a couple problems with my subaru engine and they were diagnosed and fixed quickly. The auto tech Ben who did the work was so helpful and knowledgeable, and was able to get it done faster than other places had quoted me. I am thrilled with this place. Friendly, helpful, and honest staff.

After reading some good reviews, I took my wife's car into Leon's for inspection. Got there at 7:30 AM when they open. Ben, the Manager told me there were cars ahead of me and they probably wouldn't get to mine until late morning. Told him (with a heavy sigh) I'd just hang around and wait. Fifteen minutes later Ben comes back to me and says while they have the tires off it would be a good idea to rotate them due to the uneven front/rear tread depths. I asked him how they were able to squeeze my car in, and he told me he worked on it personally. What a great thing to do. In all my years I've never

Excellent service. With amazing communication about where they are at with your vehicle, what HAS to be done, what SHOULD be done, and what can be put off until later. I HIGHLY recommend them. They also do not talk down to females or treat us like we don't even know how to fuel up our vehicles. If you don't understand something, they will explain it clearly, to you. Also their prices are very fair. We have been bringing our vehicles here for a few years now. Even my parents go here.

Lies, rude, deceitful and downright dishonest! One star is way too generous.
We had our vehicle towed there after a major crash in the second week of January 2015. They said it might be a total as it had a lot of things damaged such as axle, possible frame out of true etc. With the estimated repairs it came around $3,000 short from having it totaled and the insurance company allowed the work to go ahead.
They said it would take around two weeks for it to be completed. I called them after two weeks and they said that they were waiting on a body strip and should be ready in a couple of days. We

Wasn't impressed. Went for a brake and wheel bearing job. I had the parts they told me it would be cheaper to replace the broken lug nuts not the wheel bearing well it wasn't because I had to pay for the lug nuts the labor was the same. Brakes are still squeaking and sometimes grind. The next day car started to leak fuel. The people there are very nice though.

We paid for a pre-purchase inspection on a car at a local dealership. Ben went to the dealership, got the car, brought it to his shop and gave it a thorough inspection and test drive. He found a few things wrong with it and literally talked with us for a almost 30 minutes about his experience with trucks and what to consider, and all of our options, etc. He was a gentlemen and committed to serving his customer! So helpful! And we called him a few times to pick his brain and he was gracious and made time for us each time! If we lived in the area, we'd bring our car here with full confidence

We called Leon's a couple of weeks ago because we were thinking of getting a used Prius. Eric Martin got right to work, and for the next several days he sent us several options via email, all within the price range we had set with him. Finally he found the one- and he had it ready for us within two days. It's exactly the car we wanted, and his great attention and service made it so easy.
Leon's is now under new ownership, and if anything, the service has improved and the wait time has shrunk. We keep going back, and we keep being satisfied.

After many years of having one family car, I bought my first car last year. Eric is fantastic. I never felt pressured or that I was being taken advantage of due to my gender, and I absolutely LOVE my car. Integrity is not a word combined with car salesmen, but that is the word I'd choose to describe Eric.
My experience with the folks at Leon's has been they go way beyond what most folks would call "good" service. This winter I had a car accident on an icy back road. I had no phone service, but I could text. Eric and Cindy-Lynn texted me until help arrived.

Don't bring your car here. They will find all kinds of problems but not fix the one you came in for. I was told that I needed to replace a very expensive electrical unit. I brought it to the Honda dealer to get a second opinion and they laughed when I told them about the electrical unit. The diagnosis codes at the Honda dealer showed an entirely different problem. It ended up being $400 cheaper to have it serviced at the dealer.
After being a customer of Leon's for years, I can no longer trust their work. I also got charged $40 for a restocking fee on a part that I never ordered.
