We specialize in Orthodontics. Braces are used to assist in aligning and straitening teeth in order to not only improve appearance, but improve a person's bite. Having braces isn't just about improving your smile, but it's also about improving your overall dental health. Orthodontics may be used to correct malocclusion, overbite, underbites, cross bites, deep bites, crooked teeth and other flaws of the teeth and jaws.
Your first visit will consist of a complimentary consultation to discuss your goals and reasons for seeking orthodontic treatment. We will review any x-rays and notes from your dentist, and create images of teeth and the surrounding area using cameras and possibly x-rays to help us determine if and when orthodontic treatment is needed.
It is fine to eat right after you leave our office. However, we recommend that you stick with softer foods for the first few days as you get used to eating with your new braces. There are some foods that are never okay to eat while wearing braces. Please avoid eating hard or sticky foods during your orthodontic treatment, and never chew on ice as it can damage both your teeth in addition to your braces.
Having braces should not cause any major changes in your day-to-day activities. You can still dine out, sing, play a musical instrument, or have pictures taken. For certain sports it is a good idea to wear a mouth guard. Ask us about recommendations based on your specific needs when you come in for your next appointment.

When time came for my son to get the treatment I was confident in competence of Lake Minnetonka Orto doctors and team. If I could give 10 stars I would! I just went in for my last appointment at the Excelsior office. I usually saw Stephanie or Jamie and Dr. T for my routine visits over the last 3 years and I can’t say enough great things about them. They are all excellent at what they do, and they’re also kind, caring and funny. I actually looked forward to every appointment! I will genuinely miss the whole staff there, including the front desk who always greeted me with a smile. Thank you so much for giving me a great smile and such a wonderful experience!

I decided to have my teeth straightened as an adult and am so happy I came here. I was referred by a friend. My consultant appointment was very informative and when I decided to move forward they made sure I was comfortable with every decision and step. I can't say enough about the staff here, i was able to work with a few different techs and 3 different doctors during my treatment and each one was absolutely amazing. Cant forget the front desk staff - they were always so accommodating for scheduling. I would recommend for others to come here.
