Country Cottage is a dream come true for founder Peter Rudis. As a young boy growing up in Massachusetts, he has fond memories of going hunting for treasures with his Grandfather, to fill his Antique store on Park Street in Lawrence Mass. Peter always wanted to open a furniture store that would recreate that warm, homey, nostalgic feeling he felt at Grampa's store.

After looking all over the State of New Hampshire for a simple pine bookcase for a Birthday gift for his wife Donna, he ended up frustrated with the selection available and built one himself.

The store offers nice quality furniture at very fair prices for every room of your house. The store owner was fantastic; she answered all of our questions, offered her own insightful opinions, and spent quality time with us as we browsed through the store. Ultimately, we purchased a small solid maple writing desk.
Jon was also exceptionally helpful. He took time to talk to me and give me pointers and tips on finishing an unfinished desk if we choose to go that route. The desk that we decided on was already finished, but Jon went above and beyond by disassembling the legs, protecting the top with

I had purchased a number of items in the past. I was going to make a purchase today but decided not to based on poor customer service and a sudden change in policy. I was advised by the managing partner that the policy had not changed and must have been bent in the past for me and she was going by the book. I received a phone call apologizing about 20 minutes after leaving on the hour trip home but it was too late.

I have many bird feeders and many bird houses that I have gotten from this store and they are so well made that I know they will last for years. I bought a futon from Country Cottage Furniture yesterday. I was very happy, not only with the purchase of such a beautiful and comfortable piece of furnishing, but the customer service was unbelievably amiable. The price was also the best price I had seen anywhere else; and I had researched many places before finding this store. My husband and I just drove in with our truck and paid with our charge card over the phone and the workers at the store loaded
