Electro acupuncture is an addition to the traditional acupuncture, where the needles are inserted and then attached to a device that generates continuous electric pulses using small clips in order to further stimulate the respective acupuncture points. These devices are used to adjust the frequency and intensity of the impulse being delivered, depending on the condition being treated.
Most insurance companies cover for your acupuncture treatments. We verify of your benefits calling your insurance carrier first and let you know of your coverage. Please provide us with your insurance card and ID. For personal Injury ( auto accident injury) Acupuncture treatment is covered by your PIP auto insurance.
Initial treatment will last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the depth of the problem, severity of your issue and type of each treatments. Each person is unique with an individualized treatment plan depending on your condition and your physical state. The good news is that yes, many insurance companies now offer policies that cover acupuncture and related services performed by an acupuncturist.

I have had several Acupuncturists and Dr. Daniel Lim is the BEST yet! On my first visit we had a consultation to discuss my concerns. I experienced an immediate difference from that point and have had vast improvements ever since. Visiting Dr. Lim is the highlight of my week! I leave feeling utterly amazing. On a recommendation from a friend I went to see Daniel at Calle Mayor Acupuncture and Herbs. He was so lovely and asked me about where I was experiencing discomfort and listened to my concerns about my lumbar spine pain. He tailored a 2-3x/week treatment program consisting of acupuncture, cupping and heated massage for me. I'm so glad I found this place on yelp, Dr. Lim is the best Acupuncturist in LA hands down!!! My anxiety and muscle stiffness got so much better after receiving treatment from Dr. Lim. He really cares and listens to your concern. Dr Lim is the nicest and coolest Doctors you'll ever meet. He makes you feel comfortable and doesn't try to sell you on herbs or acupuncture packages. He lets his job do all the talking and that's enough to persuade me to get more treatments because I know that it WORKS! Treatment is painless and I like how he uses a combination with acupuncture needles

Dr Daniel was awesome. I came in for my very first acupuncture recently. I sit at a computer desk all day and it has taken a toll on my neck, shoulders, and back.
I was a little scared at first, but toughened up once I got there. I expected a little pain, but it didn't hurt one bit. I flinched a little a few times when the needles were pricking me, but that was just my nerves. I have another appointment next week and will be trying cupping for the very first time as well.

Dr. Lim has transformed my view on acupuncture! From
Not able to run more than a mile six weeks prior to LA Marathon to completing the marathon, Dr. Kim's acupuncture sessions have played a big part of it. He has healed my left foot, right foot, IT band, quads, back and even wrist now. I now try to go see him 2-3 times a week if my schedule allows. I believe it works better for me than a massage. Dr. Lim is so kind and charges a very reasonable price by doing everything himself! His focus is on healing the patient and not making money which is very rare to find in this day and age!!

I was having really bad shoulder pain that appeared one day and it was worse and miserable at night time. I went to physical therapy and it got a bit better but I was still having pain at night. I went to one acupuncture treatment with the okay from my physical therapist and the pain was gone! I couldn't believe it, the night after I did acupuncture I kept awaiting for the pain to come back and it hasn't come back since!
The best part is this office accepts my health insurance and now I'll get to come visit once a week to follow up treatment and keep the pain for creeping in.

I came here on a Groupon. I've never done acupuncture before but I've had knee pain for years (and surgery about ten years ago) and I'm recovering from a recent wrist injury too. I did some research but still wasn't sure what to expect. AND I don't like needles! But I read that the needle is actually smaller than a hair.
First of all, Dr. Daniel is so accommodating. His posted hours are Mon-Fri but my boyfriend and I had work during the same times so he took us on a Saturday morning. Such a nice guy. We took a short survey explaining our pain and I decided to go first

Upper, lower back, shoulder blades, shoulders, and neck have all been treated by Dr. Lim. Since I started coming here, my pain has been much more manageable. I'm so glad that I ran into this place because without it, my pain would have taken over my life. Now I am back in control!

I came to Calle Mayor Acupuncture with severe migraines and sinus problems. Within a week my migraines are diminishing and my sinuses are clearing. Dae Eun Lim is very gentle and communicates well to understand my concerns. The acupuncture treatment was very relaxing and the heated massage therapy helps with my problem areas. Dr. Lim was very informative about my treatment and explained what kind of things I could do to better control my problems.
I can't say enough about what an outstanding place it is and the manager, Julie was very welcoming and friendly.
