We strive for excellence in everything we do and are committed to making your child's first dental visit a fun and comfortable one. We understand the importance of establishing a good oral hygiene regimen early in a child's life, and we provide children with the necessary knowledge and treatment to maintain a healthy smile.

Our practice strives to make this new journey for your child a healthy, positive and rewarding experience. Parents are welcome during treatment and become participants in the development of healthy dental habits that will last a lifetime. Just as a pediatrician develops special talents, skills and knowledge for working with children, a pediatric dentist more effectively care for the dental needs of young people.

Native to Alaska Dr. Rob was born and raised in Valdez along the beautiful waters of Prince William Sound. Pediatric dentistry is an age-defined specialty that provides both preventive and therapeutic dental care for infants, children and adolescents. What is a Pediatric Dentist? Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. After completing dental school, we are further trained for the unique dental health needs of children.
We enjoy visiting with children to teach them about good nutrition, proper brushing and flossing techniques and familiarize them with what they may expect when they visit the dentist. Children's Dental Office and Orthodontics offers a fun, interactive and engaging program! We encourage student participation and provide each student with a "Goodie Bag" of educational materials.
We strive to make each and every visit to our office a positive experience! Whether this is your child's first visit to a dentist or this is your first visit in our office, it is important that your child feel comfortable and begin developing a trusting rapport with Dr. Rob and our staff. The first visit is designed to gain your child's confidence and trust.
What is dental caries? Dental caries is an infectious disease process that causes tooth decay or "cavities." If untreated, caries can lead to severe pain, local infection, tooth loss, and even serious systemic infections. Babies typically are inoculated or "catch" dental caries from their parents.

I have a 6 year old with a very painful tooth. Got an appointment with peninsula pediatric dentistry middle of July.
Here we are, Middle of September and between the appointment being made and the actual appointment the tooth that an appointment was made for got an emergency extraction.
Now a 2nd tooth needs extracted, so we kept our appointment and low and behold it's finally here. This tooth is going to be pulled out today and the pain will be over...so we thought. Upon arriving at the dentist office the usual, mask, forehead scan etc.
I respect that due to the nature of the world today.

They were very kind, very knowledgeable, very patient and flexible with working with my kiddos! They made adjustments with their routine, and with their equipment to accommodate my youngest (5) so that she was comfortable and they were still able to get what they needed. Also, their office and goodies were very child friendly and I was overall very impressed!
