After a thorough examination, a chiropractor adds energy to your spine at an opportune time and place to help your body "right" itself. Think of a chiropractic adjustment as a gentle "nudge" to help restore better movement to the spine. While the word chiropractic comes from the Greek meaning "done by hand, " there are many ways to adjust the spine.
Chiropractic is derived from the greek words chiros and praktikos meaning "done by hand". It's purpose is to diagnose and treat mechanical disorders of the spine and musculoskeletal system with the intention of affecting the nervous system and improving health. It is based on the premise that a spinal joint dysfunction can interfere with the nervous system and result in many different conditions of diminished health.
Dr. Nassif specializes in Activator technique which is a very gentle and thorough form of chiropractic care. He also manually adjusts patients when warranted (traditional chiropractic). Dr. Nassif has completed a four year doctorate of chiropractic program in addition to his undergraduate degree. He has taken national board exams similar to those required to be a medical doctor.
Acupuncture is an ancient healing technique that has been practiced for over 5,000 years in China. It is based on the concept of universal life energy called Qi ("chee") present in every living creature. This energy is said to circulate throughout the body along specific pathways that are called meridians.
Many people would describe acupuncture as being painless, although some may experience a sensation similar to a mosquito bite or bee sting upon insertion of the needle. This sensation is usually transient lasting only a few seconds. Many patients find acupuncture to be a relaxing experience, and often fall asleep during treatment.

Dr. Nassif has helped my wife and I through various back and shoulder issues over the last couple years. I recently had a back issue caused by overwork and strain and couldn’t stand up straight and every position hurt. After 1 visit I felt 50% better and after a couple more days and a 2nd visit I felt like myself again! Ivan’s beside manner is very good as well. He makes you feel comfortable so you can relax easier! I have also recommended some of my family who has also seen him for acupuncture and had great results!

I have been seeing Dr. Ivan for about two years now. He has been able to help me through various injuries and anxiety, through chiropractic and acupuncture treatments! I have also sent my sister and brother who he has helped. If any thing is bothering you, physically or mentally, he can probably help you.
