A martial arts school that teaches Choong Sil Taekwondo - under chief instructor/owner Jessica Thelen (5th dan) and Instructor Adam Willis (4th dan). NAMA's mission is to use Taekwondo as a means to instill a sense of healthy living, morality, and discipline, as well as other life skills, to all students especially younger practitioners who may not have ready examples or opportunities to acquire these skills elsewhere.
The school was originally started as a small CTF (Choong Sil Taekwondo Federation) club in Yellville, Arkansas under Bill and Renee Pardon. The Club then passed through two other instructors under the USTF (United States TaeKwon do Federation) during the six years before Jessica Lasecki took over instruction of the club in 2004 as a sixteen year old 2nd degree recommended black belt.

Services
At NAMA we teach traditional Taekwondo, a Korean martial art, as a part of the Choong-Sil Taekwondo Federation. This martial art uses a combination of hand and foot techniques for attack and defense. Our martial art is geared toward teaching discipline and empowering individuals with self confidence.
Testings are held for a student to demonstrate that they have achieved the necessary skills to advance to the next level or rank. A student advances to a new belt by learning and improving the material and skills of their current rank. Each belt, with the exceptions of White and Black, has 4 stripes.
Several things have been happening at NAMA. We are in the process of developing a Little Dragons program for ages 4-6. We are also in the process of developing a new method of sharing information about special events and school closure evenings. Make sure to be checking the facebook page for more information on that in the near future.
