It wasn't so long ago that a couple's first dance as man and wife, as special as it was, was only an effervescent memory. A fact that was no small blessing for couples who happened to be poor dancers. With the advent of videos, a newlywed couple's first dance is almost always recorded, available through the years for all of posterity to see.

Cha-Cha, originally known as Cha-Cha-Cha, has its origins in the Cuban Mambo. It gets its name from the distinctive syncopated triple step (cha cha cha) danced between 2 rock steps. It came to this country in the middle 1950's. This is also a spot dance and is expressed though body animation. The character is fun, flirty, playful.

I came across Ballroom of Huntington when I and my fiancé were looking for a dance instructor for our wedding dance. We were provided with a fantastic teacher who was distinct from just being able to dance. Our wedding dance trainer was a great dancer and an equally great teacher. Professional, patient, friendly and extremely fun, we always looked forward to our lessons with Ballroom of Huntington.
