Founded in 1987, and under the direction of Owner/Artistic Director KATIE HOLTZEN since 2006, North Shore Dance Studio (NSDS) offers the greater Milwaukee/Mequon area a wonderful, family-like dance studio where students can learn in a fun and positive environment. NSDS offers a variety of recreational dance classes, including Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop; as well as The Company for the more serious dancer.
There are many performance opportunities throughout the year for all North Shore students! In December, NSDS produces the beloved holiday Ballet - The Nutcracker. Their impressive production features over 200 Ballet dancers and is open to all students, ages 2 and up. They also host a Benefit Concert every March, and an annual Recital where students are given the opportunity to showcase their work on stage in full costume!

Services
NSDS features two lobbys and two waiting areas, dressing rooms with cubbies and hooks for storage, and clean restroom facilities. There are 5 dance studios, each with specialty dance flooring, Ballet barres and large mirrors. North Shore also boasts a dance store boutique located on site for any of your dancewear and dance shoe needs.
North Shore Dance Studio is pleased to offer a program for your dancer who just can't get enough dance! Whether they are searching for more studio time, some one-on-one mentoring or just to brush up on some new or old skills, look no further, we have you covered. Work one-on-one with one of our Elite Company members for 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons.
Monthly payment plans are available. If you elect to use a payment plan, a determined amount of money will be deducted from your account on the 10th of each month. Please speak with the office if you would like to set this up. Costume Alterations - North Shore Dance Studio provides quality alterations (if needed) for your child for an additional $5-$10 per costume.
North Shore Dance Studio along with the Company Dancers have been putting on annual benefit concert over the past 25 years. To date, the company has raised over $100,000 to provide to various charities including organizations for Alzheimer's, Strokes, Heart Disease, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis, The March of Dimes, and many more.

I previously left a review with North Shore Dance Studio when my daughter first started. I am writing another review. If I could give more than 5 stars I WOULD!!! The Studio itself provides a calm and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. My daughter and my family were always greeted with genuine smiles. I LOVED her dance teacher, Amanda. She always spoke LIFE into my daughter. When I was worried about not following directions, Amanda always praised her for how well she did. The proof was in the pudding. My 3 year old daughter loves this studio!! The instructors are all so nice and make it FUN for the kids, while they are learning at the same time. The December Nutcracker performance was really fun to watch and well done. There is also a spring recital where the kids can show what they learned and wear cute dance outfits (of course!) I feel like we have found our Dance Family! Thanks Miss Katie, Miss Jill, and Danya. We love North Shore Dance Studio. I highly recommend it.
