Before Westcoast Solar Energy (WSE) was founded in 2009, our company's co-founders worked at the leading national company, Akeena Solar. The experience they gained working at Akeena helped pave the way for our venture's simple and effective business model: provide better solar equipment at a similar cost.
Back in 2009, Westcoast Solar Energy concentrated on commercial solar installations. By running the entirety of the solar project in-house, we offered a level of installation quality well above industry standards. Within three months, we hired the best of the Akeena team and began to establish our reputation for quality, trouble-free installations in Northern California.

Services
Westcoast Solar Energy will be operating in a limited capacity until the threat of disease has ceased. Our sales and office team are available to assist potential customers in a remote capacity. If work needs to be done on site we will be conducting this work on a case by case basis following our internal "no-contact" procedures.
Recognized as a global leader in solar development, Westcoast Solar Energy is credited for their evolved methods of installation for both commercial and residential properties. Nate Gulbransen has been in the solar industry since 2008 and prior to that the domestic sales manager for an electric vehicle company.
Westcoast Solar took the time to really understand our needs and proposed a project that was perfectly aligned with our interests. They treat solar projects as construction projects with a great attention to detail and a long-term focus on durability and have been great partners for us. I'm in Utah and in the process of getting solar installed and I'm down to the final two bids.
We are a one of a kind solar energy company when it comes to breadth of knowledge and depth of experience because every aspect of a commercial solar project is handled in-house by our team of recognized solar experts. And we're building our team. Bringing commercial solar projects from energy analysis through solar panel design, engineering, permitting, and on to installation, has taught them how to streamline the process.
Size: The larger the house or business, the more people live in it, the more power it consumes. Rural Location: Rural properties have a higher energy demand because of well and septic systems. Lifestyle Amenities: Wine Caves, ponds and water features, extensive garden and irrigation requirements.
When these factors combine there is usually not enough space on the roof to offset a significant portion of the electric bill making a ground mounted array the better option.Ground Mounts eliminate the need for problematic module-level electronics like Enphase Microinverters or Solar Edge Optimizers.

I’m in Utah and in the process of getting solar installed and I’m down to the final two bids. I was doing some research on YouTube and came across a video of a guy from West Coast solar showing you how to clean your panels. He seemed like a nice enough guy so I decided to call them and see if I could pick their brains I was expecting them to answer a few questions and then send me on my way . I called right after they opened and I spoke to Peter the GM. I explained to him that I’m in Utah and that I was trying to get an unbiased opinion on the two bids and the equipment the companies are

I contacted Westcoast Solar Energy on Sept 29th asking if they could handle a generator install for an off-grid location, along with some electrical work, and hopefully some solar improvements. I was directed to, and spoke with, co-owner Jeremy who specializes in off-grid situations.
Jeremy was friendly, courteous, and professional. He quickly gave me an initial cost range on the job, and scheduled to meet me the following Saturday to see the site. At the end of the visit Jeremy told me he would have a quote to me early in the next week.
Unfortunately after the visit Jeremy evaporated. I emailed
