The Wray Rehabilitation & Activities Center, better known as the "WRAC, " is the result of a group of local individuals who had a vision to create a health, educational, wellness and activities center that would benefit the entire community. This founding team met weekly, as early as, 6:30 a.m. for up to six years researching, designing and building the WRAC.
The WRAC provides health, wellness, and fitness classes and programs that promote overall health. This is done through group classes and a variety of programs that are offered at different times during the day and throughout the week. Long time instructor Dani Rockwell uses a mixture of step aerobics, strengthening and toning effectively in this one hour class.
All of these classes and programs are open to everyone but geared toward those over sixty-five. Promoting exercise, wellness and especially social well-being within the senior community are the focus. In addition, the WRAC partners with Silver & Fit(R) and Silver Sneakers(R) both which help offset the cost of a senior membership.
Youth k-4th grade learn the value of good nutrition and health physical exercise in a group setting. This program is offered spring and fall after school once a week. Youth 5th-8th grade further the principals of the PHIT program with the added lessons of citizenship. This program is currently under review, please check back.
Each year, we celebrate National Fitness Day with a Baby Boot Camp dedicated to get "tots" aged 18 months through 5 years moving! Hillcrest Care Center residents enjoy a visit from a WRAC staff member who reads aloud from a popular book. The Towers assisted living residents visit the WRAC to use the warm water therapy pool for relaxation and socialization.

An excellent fitness center with a decent amount and variety of resistance and cardio equipment. Very well cleaned and maintained. Sadly during the pandemic only members are allowed in the premises. And that's even following local Health guidelines with restrictions. Nonetheless, a great place to maintain a healthy exercise program.
