Sea Cliff Chiropractic
No one likes living with pain. Our first goal is to get you out of pain as quickly as possible. We accomplish that by using a combination of natural treatments including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, exercise rehabilitation and nutritional recommendations. These techniques are highly effective for managing conditions such as lower back and neck pain, joint and muscle conditions, sports injuries, and headaches.

But why is it that some injuries seem to reoccur, and why do some painful conditions seem to just come out of nowhere with no obvious cause? What makes our services unique is that we not only work to get you out of pain, but we also help you uncover and correct the actual root cause of your problem.
Services
We do accept insurance as payment in many cases. We are in-network with several insurance companies and we also accept out-of-network coverage when possible. We will be happy to review your benefits with you prior to your visit. Of course we welcome patients who do not have insurance, and we do our best to keep our fees as reasonable as possible so that no one is unable to receive care.
Your initial office visit will take a little over an hour. The first part will include an in-depth discussion about the history of your condition; your work, eating and exercise habits; hobbies; stresses; etc. All of these contribute to the state of your health. In many cases, small details about your lifestyle are important clues on how we can help you get better.
Part of your exam and ongoing care will include a careful assessment and monitoring of your movement patterns. Over time physical stressors such as injuries, repetitive motions, habits, and postures we assume doing things like computer work or playing musical instruments can alter your normal movement patterns and lead to pain and dysfunction.
Over the years many patients have requested personal one-on-one training time with me so they can learn and assimilate a set of exercises that are customized to their specific needs. I now offer this service to patients who are interested. I find that this kind of training empowers patients to work out at the gym or at home confident that what they're doing is safe and is based on their specific needs and goals.
Part of your initial exam will be a thorough assessment of your movement patterns and muscle balance. Frequently these tests uncover muscles, joints or fascia that are tight; muscles that are weak; joints that are unstable; and habitual movement patterns that are harmful. These can all lead to muscle imbalance, joint/spine degeneration, pain and chronic injury.

I have been going to chiropractors for almost forty years. I have seen many amazing doctors in cities from NYC to SF. Dr. Russell Charno is by far, the best chiropractor I have every been to. He spends a lot of time with you in the sessions, he has tremendous knowledge (from bones and muscles, to fitness and wellness), he has a calm and soothing demeanor, he genuinely cares about you and your well-being, and most of all one has the utmost trust in him to do things like adjust your neck. As a Functional Chiropractor he brings so much more to the table than one will often get at your average chiropractor

Dr. Charno is wonderful! He goes above and beyond to not only help current issues, but to help prevent them from happening in the future.

After deciding to have total knee replacement this Spring, I heard that Dr. Charno was starting an on-line strength training class. I had read somewhere that strengthening the leg muscles helps one recover from joint replacement quicker. I joined his class and for six weeks leading to my surgery, I attended his class on-line twice weekly.
I am certain that my work with Dr. Charno allowed me to recover more quickly with the capacity and flexibility to return to activities of daily living 2 weeks after surgery. At 3 weeks, I returned to his class and he adapted exercises for my stage of recovery

Dr. Charno has literally gotten me through months of quarantine. His online strength training classes have me stronger and healthier than I was six months ago. When it became possible, I began seeing him in his office and found a comprehensive and holistic approach to chiropractic. His treatment is state of the art and includes specific exercises to reinforce the adjustment. He always follows up with online exercise reminder videos. Bottom line is that Dr. Charno is a caring, effective, healer.

Dr. Charno is hands down the best chiropractor I’ve been to. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes extra time to ask questions, understand pain, and develop action plans to relieve symptoms. He’s open minded and looks at issues from all angles, performing informed adjustments and following up with workouts and stretches to reinforce them. He is personable, caring, and an all-around wonderful doctor. I would recommend him to anyone!

There is NO chiropractor like Dr. Charno, NONE! I sustained an injury ten years ago and was resigned to the fact that I'd never be able to raise my hand above waist level again, but with treatments, exercises and encouragement that is no longer the case.
He doesn't just work to a standard of "good enough" but presses forward until you feel great with limited pain or disability. At each visit he adds to or adjusts the exercises that you're doing to keep you moving toward a healthier level of functioning.
I highly recommend him; he's very personable, friendly, professional and an expert at what

It is rare to find a chiropractor who listens so intently and carefully—both with his mind and his hands. Russell is attentive, gentle, and patient with my curiosity and my desire to understand what's going on in my body. He has also given me a number of functionally oriented exercises to supplement my treatment at home. He takes a lot of time, too...appointments are anywhere from 40-60 minutes! I have been to at least a dozen chiropractors over the years and he is by far the best.

Russell is warm, caring and very knowledgeable. He really takes his time to find out just what the problem is and gives a good explanation of how he can help. After my treatment from Russell I felt confident in referring my own patients to him.

I'm a big believer in chiropractic preventative care and have been under the care of many practitioners for the past 30+ years. Dr. Russell Charno has an intuitive sense, listens intently, and genuinely cares about his patients health. I can recommend Dr. Charno with great confidence and state that he is the best chiropractor I have ever come across. If you are reading this and contemplating an adjustment with Dr. Charno, do yourself a favor and see him now, you will be very happy you did. He is greatly missed here in Sea Cliff, NY.

I suffered years of degenerating function. One visit to Russell Charno, DC, restored at least 70% of my mobility.

Unlike other chiropractic offices, this doc only sees one patient at a time. My appointments are always intensive, more than an hour and 100% hands-on.

I have experienced ongoing improvement. I now take CrossFit classes because I have my mobility back.
