I was on a walk 10/26 with my dog and came across a sick young bunny. At first I thought it was deceased, but then I saw he was breathing, I brought it to animal Hospital of Verona. Dr. Smith showed compassion for this animal. Unfortunately this bunny was too sick, but I appreciate that dr smith took the time, evaluated it and helped so it wasn’t in pain. Thank you dr Barney Smith. You went above and beyond.

If your thinking of taking your pet here, don't. I've been going here for over 10 years and over the last two years service has gone way down. My last experience was the worst and have finally given up giving them second chances, we are finding a new veterinary clinic. The only reason we stayed was due to the veterinary doctor we have been seeing and the great relationship we had with him. The other veterinary doctor did not do well with our dog and a number of the technicians are not qualified to work on dogs. My dog should not have to suffer due to their mistakes.

Friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and well trained. Very slow to return calls and a substantial amount of time for my pet to be seen. I would go here if they had more availability, but the soonest i can get in is almost a month from now and when it comes to my fur baby, that's WAY to long. I understand it's because they are busy and overworked, though. So i don't blame the staff what so ever. Glad to have them in town!

All of the vets at Animal Hospital of Verona and their staff are knowledgeable, caring and patient. I’ve had two cats as patients over the past 20 years. I’ve met with Dr. Smith, Dr. Voss and Dr. Hoelscher, they have educated us in how to care for our pets in bad times and have been there in the good times for check ups and vaccinations. An on-site lab is a plus for fast results and peace of mind in a speedy diagnosis. If you are new to Verona or are a new pet parent, Animal Hospital of Verona is the place to go!

I've always thought Animal Hospital of Verona is a really nice Vet Clinic. I really can't think of any experience there that hasn't been really good. the vets are experienced and knowledgeable with different types of animals. the person who answers the phone is always really helpful and kind. I would recommend it but I don't think they're taking new patients at this time.

Dr. Smith has been our family veterinarian for more than 2 decades and we have an enormous respect and faith in him. We feel fortunate to have him, along with his colleagues, to care for our pet family members.
We recently had to put our Shitzu-Poodle dog down after a year-long bout with cancer. Although we knew her days were limited, we… appreciated every one of them, fully enjoying our time with her. And even still, her final day with us hit us harder than we expected. As a part of our family, she was larger than life to us. Dr Smith's compassion was very comforting.

The staff and vets at Animal Hospital of Verona are wonderful. I have taken my dog to them for years and they have always provided professional, loving care. They take the time to listen to your concerns and offer solutions and full explanations. I have a husky that is a little dramatic and can be tough to treat. We worked out a plan that made it a positive experience so he was able to get the medical treatment he needed without stress. Thank you!

We loved Peanut for 14 1/2 years and we miss her already! I have to say our new veterinarian went out of his way yesterday to help us say our goodbyes. We couldn’t go in to the vet so we had to put her in the… doorway and then they took her in to examine her. Last month we knew she had something wrong with her liver but yesterday he was able to find a pretty good size tumor on her very swollen liver. He said it would be best to let her go. Instead of putting her down without us or in the back end of my vehicle he set up a place with a blanket in the grass with the sun shining on us

Dr. Smith and the staff have been great with our rabbits. They do wonderfully handling them. We've had two rabbits neutered in the past two years, and each time, the staff made the process stress free. They provided wonderful instructions and answered all our questions and made sure the rabbits were comfortable. Thank you!

Thank you to Dr. Smith for taking such good care of our 21 year old cockatiel Cracker. He was very gentle with her and thorough with her exam. I left feeling good about the appointment and knowing that we had a plan to help get Cracker feeling better again. I would recommend the AHOV for your bird's needs. I absolutely love the staff! I have had animals seen by Dr. Smith twice now and each time he has been wonderful! He is very personable! Arika is also amazing! They care so much about what they do and apologized whenever they thought it was taking them long (even though I thought they were doing things timely!).

I took my rescued yellow napped amazon here for a general wellness exam and grooming services and they were so kind and helpful! Wynn was in great need for a beak trimming and it was hard for me to find a service that I could trust as I've read every horror story in the books about massacred beak trimmings... but he came out looking more handsome than ever. Somebody suggested Dr. Barney Smith for his avian experience and expertise and I'm glad Wynn was under his care. Thank you AHOV!!!
