With the relaxed California ADU rules, this is the best time to start your ADU project. They are quick to design, easy to built and can provide that extra space or long term income. Attached ADU - These are built to the side or rear of the home, or on top of an attached garage. ADUs are an affordable type of home to construct in California because they do not require paying for land, major new infrastructure, structured parking, or elevators.
We discuss your project in detail and come up with the initial design in 10-15 business days. We go over the details and make necessary changes. Final design is presented to you with 3D(separate service) renderings to help you visualize the project. Once you approve we work on the permit drawings and submit to the city for approval.

We are very happy with the whole process - design, review, and build - with Openremodel. The project is a room extension in Cupertino. The project is progressing in a very timely manner and we are very happy with all the teams that have worked on project so far - very thorough, courteous and skillful.

People is really passionate/proactive to help us for any additional work and their system is well organized. Whenever we give some new idea, they always apply every single detail into new design and they provide better view using their great system. We are very happy with the architectural plan Open Remodel came up with for our kitchen project. Open Remodel is a branch of a realty company. (They also offer realty and construction services.)
We interviewed another firm before finding Open Remodel on Yelp. The other company's price estimate for architectural plans kept going up and up. It was like they were feeling us out for how much we could pay. It was a huge red flag. We are willing to pay a fair price but we don't want to be taken advantage of. My wife and I were looking for an architect to help us create plans for our kitchen remodel project. We wanted to remove an internal wall to open up our floor plan, but were unsure if the wall was load bearing. Ashish and his team coordinated structural evaluation of our home and generated all necessary plans for the remodel. Also, we were looking to save some money by performing much of the demo and installation ourselves. I was partway through selling my house when it came to my attention that a permit I thought was closed was not. The contractor are used and filed for bankruptcy and the architect was MIA. I had no one to turn to until I talk to Ashish. Without his and his staff's help we would not have been able to sell the house. They were fast work easily with us and helped us work through the permitting process. I would highly highly recommend them. Thank you again guys for the great assist!

A nice team who has done a commendable work for us. We had 'renovation with addition of extra square feet' work including adding garage. The project involved designing, getting city permit for complete rehaul of roof, flooring, bathroom, paintings, plumbing, Hvac etc. We added more square feet and attached garage to our house.
I would definitely recommend them on basis of the following:
1. COST : reasonably priced but at the same time they are a very knowledgeable team
2. WORK QUALITY : I was happy with the output which was in orderly and timely fashion. They helped get the permit from the city

I just bought a house and wanted to remodel and add new rooms. They helped me get the remodeling permit within 10 business days. My remodeling started immediately after I closed my mortgage. I was able to move in within 4 weeks while my extension permits were being processed by the city.
Their team works fast and had my timeline as their priority. Very knowledgeable design team. They helped me with permits, interiors and material selection. Their contractor was great!!.

Remodeling and dealing with construction work can be really overwhelming. After talking to several design companies we ended up hiring Open Remodel. Their design fee was competitive and turn around time was quick. My phone calls and emails were answered promptly. They helped me with design, permits, 3D and material selection. The home came out real nice.

They helped with the design of my home in Mountain View. It really pays to hire a good design group, is all I can say. They were very easy to work with. I reached out to several companies for an architectural design drawing required by the city for a kitchen remodel of my home. Open Remodel was quick to respond and offered competitive pricing. I'm giving them 5 stars because they delivered on all the areas I was looking for 1) detailed drawings -which was approved by the city 2) responsiveness - they were able to quickly meet and put together the drawings, and provided drawing revisions when requested within a couple days 3) competitive pricing 4) customer service was top notch, they were nice people and easy to work with.
