At Centreville Dental Wellness Center, we are extraordinarily proud of our caring, experienced and highly competent staff in our Centreville, VA dental office. Each member is a dedicated professional with multiple years of working in the field of dentistry and, as such, is an integral part in the delivery of your comprehensive oral health care.
I have always been a dental coward. When a tooth ache got very bad, I went to the Centreville Dental Wellness Center for help. This started me on a long period of processes, treatments and gentle care that has allowed me to overcome my fear and to bring my dental health back to where it is supposed to be.
At Centreville Dental Wellness Center, our staff is dedicated to serving the oral health care needs of our community. Located in Centreville Square and headed by our dentists Dr. Jason Abel and Dr. Rena Vakay, we bring many years of professional experience and caring to our patients.
In addition to our dedication to our patients who come to our office, our team is also involved in many local community events as well as national and international charities and organizations.We are very proud of our team members for their trip to the Philippines to provide care to people there as part of the MOM - Medical Mission of Mercy volunteer expedition.

Dr. Jason Abel is a native of Northern Virginia, having grown up in Vienna. He received a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1999. After completing post-graduate studies at George Mason University, he earned his DDS degree from the VCU/MCV School of Dentistry in Richmond. Following dental school Dr. Abel entered private practice, first in Charlottesville, and then in Gainesville, VA.
Five Star philosophy is how our Practice defines the customized care, attention to detail and follow up for each patient as an individual, that you can expect when you entrust your dental care to Centreville Dental Wellness Center. Top notch outfit all around, from the front desk to the hygienist to the assistants and of course Dr. Abel is the absolute best. I am most fortunate to have been under Dr. Abel's care since he opened the practice in Centreville. He's got a surgeon's skill to my benefit. In the last intervention, I had to lose molar #31, a major one, and he performed such a fine extraction that I did not even have to take pain killers after the anesthesia dissipated. I highly recommend Dr. Abel for anyone's dental care.

Have you met Dr. Vakay? Christina, Tonia, Savannah, Jasmine, or Sylvia? If not, you’re missing out. This team is amazing. They make the clinic run so smoothly, I almost wish I could go to them for all my medical appointments. My initial oral exam and dental cleaning was also extremely thorough, I knew I was in good hands. I just recently had crowns put in and it was such a smooth process. I’ve had crowns before and the ones from Dr. Vakay LOOK and feel great. Why didn’t I go here sooner?

I’ve been coming here for years. Today’s visit with a cleaning from Erica was top notch. This office has cutting edge equipment (used a 3D tooth and gum scanner with no radiation). The front desk is professional, capable and friendly. I came here because Dr. Rena Vakay was here and I knew that she would only work with a team that had her high standards of excellence. I have had serious issues with gum recession and here they stabilized and improved my gum health and they now watch it closely. I’ve also had challenging experiences whenever I looked for closer places and always come back.

Simply enough this is going to be my Family Dentist Center. I went in today as a new patient, looking for a place and they have my business. Not only was the staff polite. Dr Abel is legit. Simply enough just from the conversation we had, he has given me enough confidence to come again. He was honest and straight forward - and he's not like those doctor's that just come and go. He explained things to me and just gave me his honest opinion. I like that!

I have a level ten fear of being numbed for dental work. So many different dentists have tried one thing or another. I either feel like I've been time traveling after the procedures (and not in a fun way) or my anxiety is just made worse.
This was a lovely experience. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, supportive. My dentist (Dr. Abel) was communicative, laid back, professional, and had a really comforting sense of humor. These are all qualities I feel blessed to encounter when feeling so anxious and uncomfortable.
