Precision Machine Fabrication
Precision Machine Fabrication (PMF) is a custom sheet metal fabrication company. Our machine shop is located in Raleigh, NC and we specialize in close tolerance parts for a wide range of industries. We pride ourselves in being able to handle any job, deliver on time, and guarantee the highest level of quality.

Please note that we work as an outsourcing partner for businesses with their own designs but we do not produce prototype designs ourselves. Our experienced engineers use top-of-the-line manufacturing software to orchestrate the complete synchronization of inventory with production and purchasing.
Services
PMF started specializing in custom metal fabrication in 1978 with two employees working out of a 1,000 square foot building. Over the past 40 years we have grown into a 100,000 square foot facility and employ around 50 people. While we've expanded over the years in order to meet the ever-changing needs of our traditional client base, we remain loyal to our roots by continuing to focus on personal service and deliver outstanding quality.
We are a family owned American manufacturing company. We've been in business since 1979. In that time, we've grown from a two-person team to an employer of nearly 70 people. As our workforce has grown, so has our footprint. What started as a 1,000 square foot building is now a 100,000 square foot campus.
So what is metal fabrication? Fabrication involves creating objects and parts from raw materials such as sheet metal. More specifically, machine fabrication involves techniques such as bending, punching, cutting, and welding. Here at Precision Machine Fabrication we also perform assembly and powder coating as well.
The Engineering Department at Precision Machine Fabrication is made up of experienced sheet metal engineers and fabricators. They are the driving force behind production. Every customer order starts, and is tracked through the manufacturing process, by this group. Working with an array of software, our engineers can import customer-supplied CAD files from almost any software on the market.
A contract manufacturer is a type of organization that contracts with another business to create and develop parts, components, and/or completed products. The terms "subcontracting" and "outsourcing" are also words used to describe this type of arrangement. There can be pros and cons to these agreements with the biggest concern often being the loss of control.

Fantastic work! Our robotics team was hurting for a quick turnaround in aluminum sheet metal and was not let down. We ended up winning the Quality Award at our first event for a fully sheet metal robot. We will definitely be working with PMF in the future.

We have used PMF for over 10 years. It doesn't matter if it is a prototype or a million dollar order, the experience has been the same. OUTSTANDING! From engineering to production to shipping, they are the best. We couldn't land the orders we do without their expertise to back us up. Thanks PMF.

Kenny did a great job in fabricating my brackets, and rushed it for me as well! The quality of the cut and finish was superb. Plus I was unable to get there in time before closing, Angelia went above and beyond and help deliver the brackets!!!! Great staff, and awesome workmanship. Will be using them again in the future.

I called today for a price quote on services offered and an unprofessional woman with a disgusting attitude tells me "We only do sheet metal!" and hangs up the phone abruptly before I could apologize to her for wasting her time or wish her a good day. I would advise that nobody does business with this company based on their lack of competence in common courtesy as well as customer satisfaction!

My experience with PMF was nothing but professional. In my position as a procurement manager I sometimes have to react at a moment’s notice when the need arises. My initial contact with the team at PMF was extremely helpful and the subsequent follow up was near immediate. I look forward to building a relationship where they are a partner that I can count on being there.
